  1. Consider that MSRP on a gen is $9500.00; $750-ish is less than 8%!
  2. M- Did you sell the franken? If so... When did this happen?
  3. Tested and confirmed. I believe we are a go!
  4. Ofrei carries some... They also offer a DIY case kit as well...
  5. Nice line up, Tutima! Some killer watches in that group!
  6. My opinion- If price is a concern, I would advise that you just save your cash until you're ready to pay the price for a WM9. Don't waste your money on cheaper alternatives; you'll only be disappointed and you'll be putting off the inevitable. If anything, just wait for a pre-owned example to pop up on the trading forum. They do turn up every now and then.
  7. I opted for a gen movement for longevity. The 3714 was a watch I'd always wanted to pick up, but the modified A7750 powering the rep was one that I was cautious of. When concepta offered a genuine 79350 for this watch, I knew this was the solution I was waiting for. If this movement is good enough for IWC to stick in their Portu Chrono and charge $6k for it, it's more than sufficient for my needs!
  8. Damn you peeps with those beautiful PAM29's! Everytime I see one of these beauts, I can't help but want to kick myself for ever selling mine...
  9. I have to disagree- If you have a dial recess in the case that is 26mm, and your dial is 26.5mm, .5mm has to go. If you remove that .5mm from one side only (and provided you are able to retain the round shape of the dial), the case recess will determine the position of the dial; hence if the dial is .5mm less on one side, it's going to shift the date window position accordingly depending on where the excess material was removed.
  10. I'd say skip. If you can, wait for a few months. There is supposed to be a new PO replica due for release that should be quite decent. Or, you can go with a 4th generation 42mm or uPO and mod away.
  11. Okay... Tutima... E... I'm calling you out, buddy! I know you've got some great stuff in that collection of yours! Let's see it!
  12. Yeah... The gen pearl in the MBW insert is an old trick For now, I'm still toying with aging these things, so until I'm at a point where I'm pleased with the results, the inserts will remain pearl-less As far as bleach goes... I gave up on that stuff a long time ago. For grins, here's an old bleach job...
  13. I wonder how torqued Ken Trading must be that they got hit with a lawsuit from Panerai/Richemont SA, yet now there are tons of hommage Panerai pieces out on the market...
  14. For an El Primero 400, you need a 16520 case; they're completely different This is a 6263 style case (37mm) (an old EE; the case is really what's important here) And a 16520 (40mm)
  15. dvn- He still does the vintage 626x case sets for the V72...
  16. NICE find, George! That's like an AP treasure chest Glad kruz finally got the hands he was after...
  17. Anyone remember the TOG posted on TZ that had the TURN-O-GRAPH text missing from the dial? I'll need to see if I can dig up pics of that one...
  18. Yeah... I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the look. The fitting on the Tudor is just for a visual check; I guess before I can really say whether I like it or not, I need to see how it will look with the actual project that I have in mind...
