  1. I've got a similar Radiomir chrono sitting in a box tucked away somewhere, except it has a Poljot 3133 inside... I'll see if I can dig it out...
  2. Robbie, While I'm not Ziggy, I can say that neglected movements that exhibit excessive wear and requiring replacement parts may be difficult to service due to parts supply drying up; this would especially be the case on the older movement like the 15xx calibers that are essentially at the end of life for support and parts production. While there are still NOS parts available on the secondary market, the supply of those parts is finite, or the mark up on those items may extend beyond reason due to supply and demand. Add to the fact that Rolex has tightened up their parts distribution network, and I can see where Rob may be coming from (though this is only conjecture on my part). There will likely be aftermarket support to fill that gap, but who knows about quality? Anyways... Just my thoughts on the matter. Rob may have a differernt view or thoughts on the subject
  3. Might be easier to just grab another. If I had a spare, I'd simply send you one (unfortunately, I'm out).
  4. Most are reps, but lots of frankenstein projects around as well. Plus, the occassional genuine too.
  5. I'm here for the gang bang. Uh, I mean, Big Bang.
  6. So that Patek Sky Moon Tourbillon will only be $500k during this sale? I'm in.
  7. Looks good to me. An early example with thick font.
  8. I've got some air, fortified with genuine oxygen that I can sell you at a good price. How much did you say you earned again? *goes to get pen and paper*
  9. Looking good! That dial is gorgeous!
  10. That Gevril is quite nice!
  11. Most likely not. You might get a letter in the mail regarding the confiscation...
  12. +1! I'm looking forward to seeing this one, Avitt!
  13. As an end consumer, you likely have little to really worry about.
  14. The original factory producing the old SMP rep was supposedly shut down. Hence the term 'Closed Factory' or 'Old Factory' that you may see from time to time to descrbie these pieces...
  15. There's just something to be said for the simplicity of a Base dial. Well done!
  16. Actually, the 20mm lugs didn't start until the late 80's with the first El Primero Daytona. The V72 models up to that point had the 19mm lugs
  17. At one time, 14k cases (head only) were available for around $500.00. Shoulda picked some up when I had the chance...
  18. Stephane- Thanks for the very kind words! Your Sub was the inspiration! After seeing your WM9, my path for building was clear, and your example had shown me the way. All the best, R
  19. Chris- Great looking watch! And the CG's are a very nice touch! All the best! Cheers, R
  20. I thought the Big Bang was old news a long time ago?
