  1. Cool, T, as long as you made something with it! Giving this one some time, rarely wear it...
  2. Might as well get in on the dog-pile!
  3. Here is the "budget" dial from fleabay in a cartel 5512 case...
  4. No, I think that was my Snowflake "Date"...
  5. Thanks for posting. It's rare that I ever get to see one of my overlays actually installed in something!
  6. Joey lined me up with a pretty goof macro so I'm good to go.
  7. One of the great things about building Tudors is that no DWO is required...
  8. That may very well do it! Can you take a hi-res macro?
  9. Well, that is big enough to qualify as two!
  10. I'll have to decide between this one or my Tiffany...
  11. OK, M gets a gen, posts a group shot, and I suddenly realize I'm about 4 Explorers behind him on the rep side! I had an MBW dial "show up" in my mail box the other day and decided to do something about my Exp deficit this afternoon. I grabbed one of my trusty 2824 DJ cases, drilled some holes in it, and banged out a bezel. I was lucky and discovered I had one 2824 left so I removed the date bits and I was ready to go. The build went smooth and within an hour I had another watch to hide from wife.gov or I may put it up for adoption. I drilled out a rep riveted bracelet and put some wo990 end-links on it and I was set. It was actually fun to build something out of a dial I didn't have to clip and glue! Build Sheet: Rep 2824 case Clark T22 crystal A2824 movement Rep hands MBW Explorer dial Rep bracelet wo990 end-links for fat spring-bars Borel spring-bars Custom bezel It's too bad the dial maker got a couple of small details wrong on this or it would have been almost perfect.
  12. Does anyone have a gen Ladies DJ date wheel they could loan me, or a straight-on macro shot of the same? Actually, the macro shot would be preferable... I need to work up the artwork for a Ladies DJ overlay decal. Thanks.
  13. Incorrect symmetrical but I like it...
  14. All part of the learning process, mon ami!
  15. She has a gen Tudor Princess Oysterdate if she needs to be "correct" but the only time she wears it is when the other is not working! She would probably never be caught dead inside an AD and she thinks the Franken is super neat because I made it especially for her. Plus, she's almost as big a tight-wad as I am and would blow a gasket if I spent $2500 on a watch for her!
  16. Yes, R, you need mucho more practice. You need to take all of your watches apart and put them back together several times...
  17. I'll stick with ETA, at least I can get parts for 'em and fix 'em! I gather parts for projects over long periods of time and patience usually results in decent prices so I don't tie up a ton of money in frankens. I probably have around $250 in this one...
  18. It can, however, be regulated to within a couple seconds/day. All of mine are under 10 sec/day...
