Well Ken is fast on the draw.... He's got them for us..... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry104481

Hey Quarks.. mine was all in fun... It's a beautiful watch....
-
So true,.... wouldn't do to pull up in a Hyundai whilst sporting this watch...
-
Also does the fact that there are only two subdials make a difference ??

Who's got one hundred rolexes ??

I've played with some plastic for paper weights that is pretty dense, so much so, I could throw it around without a crack... so I don't see why it would not work.. I guess it depends upon the type used...

Honpo has been around for a long while... we even have Ken a Honpo dealer in our forum... or had... I'm starting to look at the panda again... maybe I will get both... These could be the only dress watches I will ever need... the rest of my collection is geared towards sports.. so these would be a welcome edition....

Thanks but Too late.... I have already fallen in love the the white face... I have finally found my perfect dress chrono.... Now I can rest.....

Thanks Szumi,... Here is data from iwc.com Glass: sapphire, convex, antireflective - Water-resistant: 3 bar (30 m) - Case diameter: 40.9 mm - Case height: 12.3 mm I don't see the panda at iwc .. So maybe you were right... the panda is a fantasy... so looks like my decision was made for me.... White & gold it is.... & at 41mm..Perfect size, imo.. as I found the Jones to be too large in design... Notice how they are making a great attempt at reproducing the dial silver patina of the gen ? Finally !!! I wonder how long it will take our dealers to obtain them ?? I'm feeling the excitement again....

Sweet ! What are the sizes and movement of these models.. anyone know without a search ? I will really have a difficult time deciding between the two...

These 7750's at times, especially when new can have some kinks to work out... I have have a few that got a bit caught, however once I found a way to get it moving, everything was fine.. I would try pulling out the crown to the furthest setting and rolling the hands in in a counter clockwise direction ... carefully and seeing if the date will un hinge.. if not try clockwise... if it moves.. use the hands for several days worth of change to get it moving..... Then if things work out,.. go back to the date setting position and try again... but be smooth and careful... If this does not work.. then contact the dealer to work out the fix...

Trend In Genuines... Getting Smaller...comments
Richard Tracy replied to crystalcranium's topic in General Discussion
I have always believed that 40mm is the standard size which will transcend fashion, so I have never been totally carried away with large watches to the point where 40mm was too small in my view. I guess also that my gorgeous smp held me in check. I have learned however to appreciate larger watches, thanks to Panerai,..and especially my most beautiful 212.... Thus I will always keep size ranges from 40 to 44mm standard in my collection, no matter what trends blow through the cracks... -
Great Work Ubi.... You inspire me again to begin to tackle some of my peeves....

Poll: Planet Ocean Black Or Seamaster 300m Black
Richard Tracy replied to ryaku's topic in The Omega Area
Ditto--- Smp.....is already an established Classy Classic PO, though nice, may, or may not, make that status... I had two PO's 42 & 45mm and sold them.... but I would never part with my SMP.... -

Optically Correct Watch Crystals
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
I'm new at this.. so help me out here... First of all it's not going to be a business...pretty much just a connection to a source that I will of course be the conduit for... As for mag and cyclops, someone fill me in, but aren't these separate lenses that must be glued on ? If so.. I have yet to inquire if he does this small work... but I will find out... I assume so, as he says he can produce any crystal made for watches, but does caution that square, rectangle or other off shaped models will cost quite a bit more... So far what he is requesting is blue-prints with exact data for him to work with..... anyone with this skill....? -
Optically Correct Watch Crystals
Richard Tracy replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
Hi.. price ranges are for mineral about $25... and sapphire... $55 to $75.... -
Hi, I just made a connection with a guy that will do custom fitted crystals for pretty much all our reps, including pams that have all the optical qualities of gen, i.e. no distortion. I can get them in Sapphire, mineral, or plastic...including AR coating.. for prices that will make it worth it for members here, since that these are only replicas... If you are interested, we need to get orders per size of between 5 to 20 each depending upon the material, and other factors.... We also need at least one sample or expert dimension draft per order. If interested,.. let me know. I will be first to say I want one for my Omega smp 2000, and one for my swiss 212...

I am going to post a full review on the cricket .. but here, my home.... ... jeeze.... now I'm going to have to run my posts through a spell and grammer checker... The good o'l days & freedom of just being able to post your random thoughts on a bulletin board are gone.... .. it's back to school... I leave this subject with a mind picture of a locust swarm picking a communal fruit orchard clean... then moving on to the next one...

Mosquitoes is Plurl for Mosquito my dear Clive..though I have always thought those that had to resort to the red spelling marker, had nothing left in retort... Which to me,... is the ultimate definition of 'Silly'... Just for the record, I was not referring to you.... though if you take insult from it.. that's a matter between you and the mirror.... This is more than about watches... for some of us.. it's about holding together a community... or none of us would have the luxury of these watches you keep mentioning...

Beautiful Patek Replica......but Is It A Fantasy?
Richard Tracy replied to a topic in General Discussion
Yes,.. that is a beauty.. I may pick one up myself... I haven't found a site which has them all.. and though I can't seem to find the original site I used to frequent... I did find an adequate aution site that has some listings here ... http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog_asta.html Just type in Patek and hit search.... They also have huge selection of many brands to gawk at... -
Yes, I agree to a point,.. However ...Each board owes it's very existance to a loyal core whose blood courses through the veins and keeps it alive.. I guess it depends upon your reasons for being there,.. which are all related to how much you plan on giving -vs- taking.. We all know that some simply use the boards for watch purchases, or to gawk & be entertained never posting, or contributing anything of worth... Others take a more grounded, rooted, attitude which requires a loyalty to a certain community... We can't all be social butterflys... or as some are,.. blood sucking mosquitoes... or there would not be a board for this discussion to take place...

Beautiful Patek Replica......but Is It A Fantasy?
Richard Tracy replied to a topic in General Discussion
Great thing about Patek, is that they have so many centuries.. and hundreds of models, that not many would ever know what is real or fantasy... I used to frequent this estate auction site, and they had so many pages of pateks, that I would virtually sit there for hours, searching through model after model without end... Really, ....I never made it to the last page... -
Can A Sewn In Buckle Be Replaced With A Screw In Buckle?
Richard Tracy replied to TomBombadil's topic in General Discussion
The buckles I have on my Manifatture Firenze straps are thick solid 316l stainless... My favorite straps by far.... & the reason I don't want them damaged...
