I must admit that I am pretty impressed with the pricing of Aspire.. he's even beating Silix,.. which has been our low priced eta movement super-champ for some time...and I have yet to get Jay to jump into the price war ... I'm in the hunt for a Chopard Eszeha,.. and Silix has one for $175... But Aspire has one for $149..... But I was wondering what the latest aka Paul experience is.... any negative feedback ?

Some Water Got In The Watch Help Me Urgent
Richard Tracy replied to krwc's topic in General Discussion
If you can't get the caseback open, place her on a night light, face down - crown full out... enough heat will rise to evap a bit of moisture,..but not enough to cause any damage.. -
.........those couple of hours seemed much longer.... Was Great to be back at Trc however... I was neglecting her for a while.. and forgot how like a lighthouse she can be...
-
Use it for bicep curls,... 20 reps, 10 sets, each arm...you can even time your workout...

Why Do Manufacturers Keep On Ignoring Tudors?
Richard Tracy replied to ryaku's topic in General Discussion
Because I think rolex is more highly regarded..and once you do rolex, why do tudor ? -
Check the dealer reviews.. I just did a report on him...

That bugs me too... leaves burgundy as the only model for me that fits the color... though the white model would also suffice..., White makes things look larger and more noticable.. which this watch does not need any more of ..imo...
-
Exactly,... Black hands over a black background is not one of their better ideas....imo. I know that some like the style of this black & white thing, but it's not practical, or even beautiful in my eyes.....The Sparkle & Shine are Lost... Watches are Metal after all and the brilliance of polished metal in contrast .. draws the eye....not black paint. Lastly regarding accuracy,.. As long as the Panerai site is displaying their 212 with stainless hands, that's good enough for me... as you won't find 1 person in a 500 thousand that would know the proto-type story. ------------------------ >

This may seem silly to some, but I actually prefer the look of the stainless hands.. To me hands are the most important aspect of beauty in any watch,. Seeing them shine when reflected in light is a sight to behold... also more practical when telling time at a glance or at an angle. This has kept me away from many Pams... No plastic or painted hands for me. I also hate that ugly Registered Trade Mark stamp on the CG... Why the hell would they place that steer brand, in such a prominent position on a beautiful watch is beyond me. I actually ruined one CG trying to reverse to the back, I had to grind so much of it away to get it to fit into place, that I underestimated the height of the crown when raised for setting.

GT for sure,.. 1. Size 2. Day & Date complications 3. Aligned Date 4. Just looks better I do wish the case was brushed.. but that I can do myself..accurate or not I can't stand fully polished cases....

First of all you are doing much better than most by opening your case and discovering the problem. Next I would suggest that you invest in some basic watchsmithing tools,... very cheap, and found all over ebay. Then you could tighten that screw yourself, and maybe handle other problems that do crop up from time to time with any watch, gen or rep.

Ot - Miami Brings Home The First Championship In 18 Years!
Richard Tracy replied to Category 5's topic in General Discussion
Seems Shaq was once again in the right place at the right time to have a young superstar and legendary coach carry his hulking butt to another championship. He's One Lucky Dude. I am happy for Zo, though,.. His career deserves a ring... and I also like the Heat.... though the Lakers are my main Team ! -
Does A Gen Iwc Gst Crono Dial Fit?
Richard Tracy replied to Pugwash's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
I don't believe there is a genuine stark white model,... the 'silver' dial, I believe, has been called that for the off white color, which is closer to an egg shell white. That's why, though I own both, black and white, I prefer the black for accuracy sake. -
There Is Such A Thing As The Best...
Richard Tracy replied to purspeed's topic in General Discussion
When you say best.. you already said it.... Mbw.... with dimensions so exact you can interchange genuine parts... no other compares...the price also matches all the accuracy though and you will still have to do some modding on the CG's. So add all the extra money plus genuine parts..and it remains a replica,... so... is it worth it ? Some say yes,.. some no... a great middle ground is the TW best....from EL or River.... -

Can Any Panerai Fan Actually Accomplish Straying....
Richard Tracy replied to thealphabeta 's topic in General Discussion
I have,... Pams are fantastic,.. but so is Iwc and Omega... I have limited my {wearing} collection to Two of each.. Plus One Rolex 14k TT Sub,...{which never seems to get chosen} Personally however I prize Iwc Gst over All... I find it the most beautiful, ergonomic, functional, and well put 2gether of any replica out of the 80+ I have owned... 2. Omega SMP 2000, is my favorite daily companion, and most versatile from jeans for suits... 3. My Pam 196 7753, wonderful weekend driving watch,...always catches the ladies eyes.. 4. My Pam 212...Just love it ! It looks wonderful on the wrist w/ that suede MF strap.. -
I say the 196 or the 212...

Every time I see this title I think.. 'Wife' .. we Americans don't call our friends.. 'Mates'.. Back to the subject at hand.. friends don't always think alike, as a matter of fact, it's more interesting if they don't... just as long as there is mutual respect, their opinions are just that... A great way to make your point however is to place the money you saved, by buying reps into a smarter investment... or a day trip for you all at your expense...

I try to steer clear of reps that sells gens in department stores.. But this one I must admit is a great looking piece... Auto or Quartz ?

What ??? Pug jumps out of titanium..? Welcome to the stainless gst club bro ! -
I agree,.. ..I don't give a care...and am getting frankly quite weary of such posts over here... There are too many boards already established...more than enough for any replica aficionado, or addict even,... Some of us have to work,. besides JF that is....I guess that's why he's admin over there.. No Life....
