I present this as food for thought. You Richard are encouraged, of course, to respond. I have been in e-book marketing for eons and know that the target market of this book is not replica enthusiast, no it feeds off the insecurities of genuine watch buyers. You say it's serves a purpose or saving a person from getting fleeced ? Okay, that may well be, but those people are not us, we have the boards... as do you. For us here, it's like reading a months old newspaper where someone reported on our insights, discoveries, and the new products that are released from our feedback, to through the dealers, which is fed by our wallets. You say it's great for the Newbie ? So you're doing them a favor ? I say that Since this book is born from our sweat and inspiration, and purchases,.. thus if the goal was to help them,.. would it not be a free forum section for them to browse, verses another source of sales ? Isn't enough profit being made from the outside world, where you could at least give something back, besides selling us your used replicas ? You say most of the information is free.. I know that ploy... give enough info to get them to buy... You say not, them give them passwords to download the stuff... Unless you are giving a cut to the board which I am not aware...even so, the logic of allowing your invasive membership combined wigh advertising rights to our general forum... is seriously flawed, as what you are taking from us, is making our game more difficult to enjoy.... And it is a game.. so if anyone here is thinking of interjecting that I am taking this too serious,.. I say to you, what use is our drive towards obtaining the most perfect replica if someone with us is making holes in our tires..? Bottom line is that you Richard are attempting to walk a crooked line that, though the general opinion, is that your books are beneficial to your public,..it is dishonest, as you state on your home page… "I don't buy or sell replicas." There has to be a balance, too much makes for a strap which will not conform... too thin is not good for panerai... 4 to 5mm is good enough.....

Thin ? The photos are deceiving.. that 196 is pushing them down into the carpet.. These are a full between 5 down to 4mm thick.. Perfect for Panerai... Believe me I know.. with my wrists not the thickest on the block I need thick and wide bands...which reminds me.. they are also 24.5 wide.. Great product.. and not as expensive as some would think....

Well after trying several makers of 24/24 straps I have found the old saying that Italians do it best.. to be so true in this case. Manifatture Firenze kicked ass in every area from their site, to their photo-e-mail.. their tracking notification and last but not least their Straps ! The material is TOP Quality,.. thick, well put 2gether and beautiful, the buckles are also not matched to this point. They even added extra holes upon request ! So far,..If he is guilty of anything, it's continuing to accept watches thus much more work than he could handle while sick... Then life probably happened, where he needs to work to pay for back bills accumulated while bedridden... maybe the reason he's hesitant to return watches as requested. If any of you feel for Joe.. give him the time to recover and dig himself out of possible financial trouble, and also to save face. If you don't care, then by all means request your watches back.. and if you do.. he should comply with your wishes. Joe if you are reading this.. Please respond, and agree to return watches upon request. Otherwise what else can people assume but that they have been ripped off ?

Thanks guys for the support ! I really appreciate it ! As for cleaning it only took eye glass cleaning solution and two cotton swabs.. and a bit of blowing... From seeing the condition of this 2nd PO that I now have.. if anyone has this model 45mm po from Trusty,.. and have not cleaned the interior of your crystal.. you don't know what you are missing... these watches come with very badly fogged lenses.. that are so bad it looks asthough the crystal is flawed internally.. I can't believe the difference.. my dial looks 100% better.. I can now wear it outside in sunlight ! James bond stylie....at the beach... Glad I live in So-Cal....

The first steps into watch repair.. Well this is my second watch opening and it worked out well.... thanks to The Zigmeister and Edge's repair booklets.. I received a 45mm PO with what looked like a bad crystal...it was so bad that I ordered a 2nd used PO that, according to the seller had a perfect crystal.. in order to do a swap and have extra parts for any future repairs. Just received the used po today and after taking the my watch apart, I decided to give the original crystal a good cleaning.... and what do you know.. all the un-even inner surfaces turned out to be removable... My watch face never looked so good.. as a matter of fact it's much cleaner than the crystal I received today.... I feel kind of silly now for ordering the 2nd.. but I paid peanuts for it.. and feel good that I was able to take the watch apart and put her back together... I also have a spare watch .. just in case... Only problem I encountered was replacing the crystal without a press.... What I did was place a cloth on a cutting board,.. placed the crystal face down on the cloth.. fitted the case on top of the crystal, .eyeing the placement.. then placed a book on top of them and striking the middle of the book with my fist.. Worked perfectly... I plan on trying to learn to do my own repairs... I want to be free, if you know what I mean... Black 45mm PO.... Beautiful !

Yes, this comment came from the other forum, and sent an echo through some buying decisions for long time after. In discussions about Taiwan Subs,.{which had a higher price tag, due to different cases ect..} Paul posted, that no matter where you buy,... you are going to end up with the same merchandise so why pay more ? Well, The variances are there, depending upon where they are shipped from. So unless someone can show me where this was done in the past... I think it would be helpful to build a map, so to speak of the layout of replica offerings... Am I wrong ? I can't do this alone however... I'm no accuracy expert and I don't own more than four makes of watches... Has anyone noticed variances in lines from dealer to dealer ? If so,.. what have you seen ? Thanks...
