You may disagree but the word 'Silly' is simply an insult... I know that a fully funded board can be much more secure for all involved... and logistics are a weak excuse to stand in the way of it without offering more than exposure.. Sure we need open accountability for dealers, members and craftspersons alike,.. but now what is the back-up after the fact ? Because dealing with people and money there are always going to be .. occasions. One way is to stop expecting something for nothing... Keep doing so and eventually it all evens out....

One one hand you are telling us that "Joe is your Friend" while you stand up placing your hat clearly on one side..and on the other, that we are only dealing with 'fake' watches, easy come easy go...if you get ripped off.. Tuff Luck... If anything is silly, it's your conflicting hands... One of the functions of this board besides the friendship, which I can understand, is to give is a reasonable chance of not getting ripped off,.. especially from the inside out... It cannot do that, to any reasonable degree without full board support.... which is simply doing what you, yourself did,.. use a slice of savings on one watch to invest in full membership... Labeling this....an FDR inititive is also ..'Silly'..

Weather it be emergency, illness, bad time management, or just a fear that makes it easier, to walk away from a pile of back work,... some of you need prepare for the possibility, that you may not be seeing your babies for a while,. or may even lose them all together.... Which is nothing compared to what he could lose in community, and a source of income.... which I why I find this whole thing so puzzling... I hope circumstances turn out for the best for the majority... I say again,...We need a fund for such things...

I have never been tempted to deal with Joe, though he seemed to be such a great guy,.. it's just from research that clearly shows The Zigmeister to be the man for repairs, servicing, lume ect. ect.... Joe seemed to be the guy for mods.. but now I will have to wait for this issue to clear up before that assumption can be made again. I did notice him posting in The Zigmeister's forum, which I thought was not cool.... I do know that The Zigmeister will not post negative unless there are sound reasonings to do so,.. which takes it out of the realm of negativity and into area of revelation....

Brings back memories,... The Old flex-i-bands.. which were so very comfortable back in the day.. I wish they would make an updated version of them,... the bands we have today, know nothing about forming to the shape of any individual wrist, and keeping a watch, exactly where you wanted it to sit,... like these funny looking bands of the past... I know that hair could be a problem, but the gentle grip of them, was nice feeling...

It's the passing, or reaching towards opportunities, to make the way easier, for those that follow.. It's before, or after, you take the time, to marvel at the Moment,.. I have never seen a photograph that captures the real beauty of the Iwc Gst,... it's one of those watches that has to be held, to be fully appreciated. When I first opened the package that held my first Gst.. I was blown away ! Totally..and Forever.

Pams takes some getting used to... I felt the same two years ago.. then about a year ago they started to grow on me... After I received my first.. a 196..and it was the most masculine, handsome piece that I had ever owned to that point. Then it was clear why all the others were raving about these wonderful watches.. They have strong Presence..are one of the most highly accurate reps you can obtain.. and just feel great on the wrist !

I think that sometimes they are saying.. here, take this watch.. do a little work and wholla,.. you have a very close to genuine piece for less than 10% of the price... Any higher in accuracy and GAF sends out the streer rollers ... again..

There are quite a few replicas with centered date wheels... I have some... Mis-alignment bothers me as well, mostly in off center markers... Not because of what other people think.. but because I have to look at the watch.. and want it.. like a child of mine, to be as perfect as it can be..

If you read the whole tread,.. you will note that the same thing happened to me when I first came here, same for others, however difference being we did more research before deciding our next move. The information is here for you,... but here is a short course. QC is a problem, which we all have been fighting and working around for years. Some of it is intentional we would suspect, but some is just due to the conditions of the game. As for dealer inspection, most dealers never see the watches, due to drop-shipping... Some do however like TTK, Narikaa, and other smaller dealers. Good thing here with us however is number One, you won't get ripped off, and Two you can obtain a better dial, a fix or a replacement. Good luck in future, whatever you decide.
