You can break the date change mechanism by utilizing the quick change function if the hands are between those hours.... What I mean is the hour hand positioning... between 9pm and 3am however since am pm cannot always be known, to be safe always use the hour hand to change the date if you are not sure. You can always wind the crown in the fullly open time changing position to change the date if you wish...but I always just set the time to 6 before utilizing quick change...

Thanks Roy.. it clears this issue up... The case on the Asian larger model measures 44mm.. the crown is however countersunk into the case much more than the 42mm versions only peeping it's head out 1mm. I have a new camera that I'm trying to learn to use so I can show what I mean... Looking at PT's version the crown is out like your's so you are correct,.. indeed his version is the 42mm....

Wow, $1400 that was a great deal ! Can you tell me.. what does your gen measure including crown ? I can't figure out how the replicas can be so far off from gen ...

Well I only posted my opinion after this post hit my face... I had been holding my thoughts since the booklets release... which by the way back then, was not so well received.. as you can imagine a fellow member taking advantage of our insights for profit, when there were & are numerous other members who could or can do the same, but thought otherwise....for various reasons I thought too obvious to mention... But since he is a 'respected' member of TRC... and an friend to some, and my views were looked at with glazed, amused eyes..I think it best to let it drop... I have finally spoken my view,.. that is enough. Peace..

Yes.. the HE valve is slightly off.. but the 45mm Asian version is sitting directly over the 10.. so PT's is better IMO... besides I have noticed that Omega moves the valve from time to time.. so sooner or later it may be accurate...

I agree 100%... and if were not for the fact that this Richard is a member of our group, I would not have an issue.... As for the information being of use to us... ? Our forums are the source of this booklet... we don't need it... it feeds off us.. and in return feeds his pocket,.. which is why I agree with Roy... he should give every nubie here a free copy.. that way at least he's giving something back.. though in my opinion, even that would not be enough. Okay I have broken my word... no more on this.. unless I see an advertisement thrown in my face again..

No Roy... I have the man sized Asian version sitting right here with my calipers.. it's 45mm including the crown... I had also the eta 42mm version... which was 42mm including the crown...{sold it..too small}

Hey,... Congrats ! The crown pulls out two clicks.... First click operates date turning clockwise.. and Gmt hand turning counter.... Last click changes the time..... Be sure not the change the date between 9 and 3...

I can't comment on this being his latest model, though PT says it is... However..... 45mm including crown IS the large model... The 42.2 mm version is also including the Crown... I have had both models... So PT,... is this a New release ? If so I want one.... regardless of the triangle.... the current Asian 45mm model I have, though running great has a very bad crystal,.. and the HE valve is too low .. with this model I can do some switching between the two....

Keeping my word... I'm going to side-step the 'twisted perceptions' of my previous post,... On the subject of why people buy replicas,... Saying...." I buy replicas for the 'Style' or looks, and don't care if anyone knows they are fake" If that were the case,.. there are many legit companies that sell the exact look, different name watches..for prices, functunality, and reliability that make heck of lot more sense than replicas.. I'm not one to lie to people, that is if they deserve an honest answer to an insult, which means friends and family only... As for 'Fooling' people,... who want's be be called out by some idiot in line at the grocery store.... or some sales guy at the car dealership... or a woman that you are flirting with....{all because of a certain member sold us out} ? I want my watches to be as close to gen as I can get them... not because I'm playing a role.. but because... the prices of genuine are not justified and I don't have time to get into deep discussions with people who waddle along with the shepard's stick.

One thing for sure, and it's not your fault Joe, ....... there is too much work for you to handle. In future, you need to pace yourself and slow down of accepting new orders when you don't know when you can complete the work in a timely manner,..and should send the majority of the watches back until your health returns. Seems obvious that this board stirs up too much business for a few guys to do it all... we need more modders...so if anyone is reading this,.. there's work for good and fast people ... Leave it at that..

I know all about the writer, the history of the book… I was there, and immediately felt the conflict of interest. What is the purpose of this book ? Accuracy Tool for the replica enthusiast ? - vs - Spotting a Replica Guide for genuine watch buyers ? If you say both,.. please enlighten me on how you make the opposing ends meet, and while you’re at it,.. justify the actions of replica site members who find it amusing to jump into genuine watch forums, reveal our secrets out of misguided loyalty, or just for the fun of stirring up the hornets. This author, as both a buyer and seller of replicas, and as was pointed out, co-admin of a replica lovers forum, has no need for his own book, when he has access to the source of the book, and many more to come, by having a front row seat to the genius of our membership. So the question is,.. by giving the outside world a guided bus tour of our trade secrets and forums a friend to us, benign to us, or traitor,...or is this writer hypocrite to the marketed to 90+% who find our hobby reprehensible ? Since I am evidently in the minority on this issue I won’t post any further comments {in this thread} but I reserve the right to an individual view.

This is my personal opinion, ... which I will not change so flame away at a waste of time.. This book was compiled with information from our forums, and is against us,... exposing our secrets to the outside world...for financial gain. I don't see the sense in promoting it here..
