Great Job, and I love that strap combo ! I would have waited until the movement it came with, was giving me trouble, before investing additional time and money however...
-
One of a few realities that keep me in check, whenever I think about going back to genuines... Thanks for sharing...
-
Point is, this is a watch forum.. Perfectly understandable how a person would get offended when confronted with a photo of a death dealing instrument, when browsing for time pieces,...especially on an international forum.. That old saying of 'don't like it,.. don't read it.' is what part of destroyed the cohesiveness of of rwg1,... let's not make that mistake again..... Peace

Getting back on subject,.. Yes this is THE Board, and place to Be ! We have a pretty great group of people here,.. seems that those of like minds have come 2gether.... Watch lovers to the max... As for as what we here call Soccer,.. Too bad the international game of Football has not reached into the soul of America yet... Basketball is my game of choice....Go Miami Heat !!!

Not Good ! Can anyone tell us the drawbacks of Moneybookers ?
-
I'm not angry bro. calm down.. Okay now.. What did I make up ? Hmmm,.... Oh I see what you mean.. { I think },... You said ' Yellow Gold is 'Made' ... and I said 'Created' verses Made,.. sorry about that... I guess...
-
Maybe it is a 'personal preference' however Rose gold was introduced for the female market originally named 'Pink Gold'. Yellow gold is Not Created,... you mean it's combined with other substances to harden it.. Copper is a cheap, common substance,.. thus my term 'polluted' As far as 18k yellow and 18k Pink being the same 'worth', I view that as a scheme to give us less for more money..

I just received a notice yesterday that a package is here from Thailand...Neils stomping grounds... I also ordered and had not heard anything at all, for a few weeks, even after one or two e-mails.... but the package came in... silently but with surprised,.. Boom ! As far as I could see, if you miss his sale, he will refund your money immediately,.. if he does not refund you, it means that you have a watch coming... Neil can be a mime, when it comes post sales replies,.. but his watches speak volumes..

If anyone has, like me, been waiting for months for this tool to become available again.... It's there... better be fast or you may have to wait for almost at year again... http://www.taikonaut-time.com/product-desc....asp?ProdId=458

Regarding the movements in these particular Omegas.. I know that reliability is getting better, or was never as bad as the general consensus,... however my dealers have been giving me the inside scoop, {unless these broad arrows have recently enjoyed a movement upgrade to the new East 7750,..} that they have a higher than average failure rate... Heard it through the grape vine....

Yes, Platinum or Yellow Gold is Best... 'White Gold' is a rip-off,.. just a plated product. The only metals that have true color are Gold and Copper,.. all other metals are either white or grey, like iron, silver, nickel ect, So when gold is mixed with these other metals, it loses it's sheen, turns from silver-yellow, to grey to grey gold, thus it must be plated to give it sheen, otherwise it would be a very diffucult sell. Red Gold or Pink Gold, is also just a pollution of yellow gold, with cheap copper... introduced as women's gold,.. it's simply a scheme to increase profit margins.. http://www.gold.org/jewellery/technology/alloys/index.html

Check our strap link page; http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?autoco...s&CODE=02&cat=8 Many of the dealers have Breitling style straps....
-
With you Indy ! Though I have had amazing experiences with reps... I have refined my approach quite a bit,... narrowed down my chosen brands... to Omega, Iwc and Panerai.. I do have one TT 14k Rolex Sub,.. but that's it... and will purchase a few of Narikaas Alarms and erotic watches..just for novelty... but after that my collection will be good to go, until Zenith cometh..
-
Amazing... ! Can you tell us where you obtained the parts ? Is it difficult to apply the crown ? Lastly, have you considered a gen crystal ? Will it fit ?
-
Affordable, yes, ... very un-assuming yet has a serious edge, a working watch,.. a proven, famous diver.. no flash, no hype, just a great, sensible, beautiful, classy, watch that one can wear anywhere from a construction yard to the opera... that is why it's perfect for a Daily Beater.

Marrickvilleboy,.. WoW,.. is that a Gen ?

Bob Straps. I Challenge You To Find Me.....
Richard Tracy replied to V's topic in General Discussion
Do you mean flexible or soft ? I have had very flexible, soft straps from Don, which felt cheap to me.. as the core is made up with some sort of foam substance... Also have a Bob, which is okay,..price matching quality.. imo For me, So far to date my MF straps are The highest in material, design and craftmanship, for the price that I have encountered... Bar None ! -
Hi Bigpops,.. Thanks Yep correct hands and gas valve placement.. Not to worry though, movement is securely held by the brass retainer,... Hey Jeff,.. yep,.. these are great watches,.. The Perfect All Occasion Time Piece !

My SMP 2000 on Gator...

For me it's my SMP 2000... just can't get enough of her....

I have recently starting allowing my chronos to run... I actually prefer to look at all the subdials and chrono hand, working rather that seeing them frozen... Besides, if you carefully read through The Zigmeister's volumes his opinion is that using the chronos is A-Ok, as long as you know what you are doing. Whenever I want to time an event, I simply push the reset button... I also find that it does little to decrease my power reserve.. I wish I would have done this when I received my first iwc gst.. I would still have now.. but traded away just because the 12hr subdial lost brake.... Live & learn.. Not to worry though I have four more in transit... two for fellow members..

I received this watch about nine months ago from another member who in turn received it from another...... What luck ! It's been one of my favorites of all time. Comparing it to a Gen on the right Upon opening,. I was suprised to find the Anti-Mag cover, but more thrilled to discover an eta 2824 movement that was decorated, held in place with a metal ring, but also attempted to imitate the modified 2892 movement that Omega called the 1120. Compared to the Gen Movement Below..... I can wear this beautiful piece dress or casual,... it never fails to satisfy,...Plus the lume last the whole night through.... only two reps can make that claim... this smp and my 196 7753. I believe this watch cemented my love of replicas ! Thanks for Viewing !

Now This Puts Rep V Gen In Perspective

Great Post Bill,...neatly packaged and tied up with a blue ribbbon ! -
Though I have nothing against Blade personally, and won't get into the whole rwg watch fiasco.. as I could smell that rat from a mile away and took a detour... No....I just don't feel he's got the proper mindset to run a board. For one,.. His vision or lack thereof, allowed too many Un-Educated Idiots, and just plain Assholes, not just to survive, but to thrive there...they felt like they owned the off topic forum and slowly spread out to infect the whole board.. Any bigot could post a thread calling for or justifying the murder, deporting, slandering mis-representation of billions of innocent people and he would simply sit there and smile.... but post a thread in anyway upsetting the status quo, or God forbid repeat a question that was answered previously, and his posse, would ride down on you with horses and bed sheets flapping in the wind... Second,... Blade never anwered a pm from me unless it was regarding, or smelling of money. Now after his Mission of mercy to the replica watch community.. Preaching the separation of sales from info.. he's been planning a sales site ?.. Notice how he threw that little tid-bit in there both here and there ? Notice how he's even going to link rwg1 to it ? Is His New mission is Replica sales ?.. and though I have nothing against that.. how can a forum be unbiased when it's also a store ?

Paul Succeeds Where The Others Failed...

I like the fact that the markers are thicker... as a matter of fact I may just order a dial to put into Twg's 45mm....
