  1. I think you will find a few domain changes over next few weeks anyway... Angus is changing soon as I think are a few others because of infringement claims by gen marques...
  2. He is on leave at mo mate... He does still make them.... he supplies many shops and traders with allsorts of cases...jewellery etc etc... There is a guy on RWG.biz that is selling a Rainer watch box in UK .... its cheaper option than buying new from R..
  3. I was not trying to beat on you mate....its just we get so many guys coming on here just posting a 'what is or who has' thread...then disappearing.... All I wanted to do is try to get you draw out what you are looking at.... there are so many styles so many designs....that even if you just said I like the Hublot Big bang do they do a bigger version then you have shown the style or taste you have... There are many options and TBH the idea of saying 50mm is not going to get you far with options... I only wear big watches because of my big wrists...( 8 1/2 inch)...so I have spent years looking for and trying many large watches.... I have found in that time that there are many watches that are shown as 44mm or even 46mm that wear bigger than many watches shown as 50mm.... For example the Hublot in the pic above is called an Diver to us or King Power Diver.... or 4000m.... it is a 48mm watch....it wears very big on the wrist...but most of that size is the crown guard and its height.... to me its still a small watch...thats because of its dial size.... and bezel size etc...so too me its not a big watch just a big lump of metal in that sense.. But if you take say a Chopard GT XL Chrono...that is 44mm..... but has a big sized dial and small bezel... so the dial goes right to the edges of the case... indeed the case with crown and pushers measures 50mm.... So my point is you need to decide the style and design you like.... even if its too small.... you say you like the Avenger..but its too small...so what about the Super Avenger at 48mm..thats another lump... The fact you mention that but dont mention the Super Avenger seems like you havent really looked... hence my post mate... for my reasons above The key in your search isnt its so called size....its all about its design and the way it wears.... as I said there are many watches that arent no where near 50mm in specs but wear bigger than many 50mm specd watches... You need to research some gen sites..even dealer sites...do what wwe all have done go through a few marques each day ..take afew hours out to find the styles you like... You work in a Hotel..so you need to be careful that the watch you are wearing isnt attracting the attention that could show you up or indeed sits so high or big it makes you jacket sleeve sit up all the time... for example the lowest sitting biggest watch I know is the AP Terminator 3...its a great rep OTB and sits very nicely under a jacket and is over 55mm wide with a very big dial so it dont look like its on steroids...however its a rare watch and worth over $25K minimum if you can find one...gen that is.... so would you really want to be wearing that in a Hotel environment with the sort of people you might meet who are staying there... There are many watches that fit your needs and will wear big...but aint stated as 50mm
  4. You have stated little mate... You have 8 posts....the first 3 in the Breitling section saying you wanted to buy a rep to wear in your job that could be passed off.... you said you were looking at a seawolf or Avenger.. you also asked about movement reliability.. You started your next 5 posts here.... wanting to be told about any 50mm watches... You seem to have done nothing yourself in terms of research apart from looking at what you have on your wrist at the moment.... Yet you post a thread on here wanting us to do it all for you.... All I am looking to do is draw you out on what you are after ....in the hope you are not just one of those guys that comes on here looking for an easy route to getting a decent rep and then disappearing till you want another one... There is a great wealth of info on this site about big watches and there are many links to dealer sites.... what have you done to look at these yourself? Or is that for us to do for you? There is also a forum specifcally for Big watch collectors... you can google that if you want to look there...maybe you can get some ideas for yourself..
  5. So what gen brands at 50mm have you found from your own research that you like ? Maybe some have been repped....let us know and we can tell you?
  6. If you go to the bucket in the pic in OP you can see his whole album I do like Rainer's cases ..had a few myself
  7. Here is a nice How To Gio did on here a few years back.. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/103632-how-to-restore-maintain-a-brushedsatin-finish/?hl=+how%20+to%20+refinish%20+brushed
  8. What have you looked at.... what specific sort of models are you thinking about... what styles? I know you asked same sort of question in a sub forum... did you look at those suggestions...? What didnt you like about them? and what have you come up with now you have had a chance to look around this place... In that way we can be more helpful and specific... If not try searching the countless other threads by new members that ask the same sort of thing expecting everything to be answered for them.....
  9. Hello mate Welcome to the madhouse
  10. Now I aint giving those secrets away mate :) You will find dealer prices vary ..I think Andrew J, and Angus etc are $170 plus 35-45 shipping...wheras Sead smaller dealers etc is $140 with 25 ish shipping.... the strap I have links to if you need them mate...I did a lot of research on who supplies the gen makers straps... and found the maker who sells them much cheaper for excatly the same strap...a bit like you could do with Hirsch and PAMs ..which I always did or many other brands if you know where to look
  11. It really depnds on budget too mate.... But if you fancy something a little different.... with a white dial and blue hands, markers etc and really rocks on a nice blue strap.... you can buy the same gen strap direct from the maker for next to nothing but without logo etc of the OEM...and better than that the rep is only $140 with sapphire and clear AR, plus a great Guilloche dial ...then you should look at the Sinn Regulator 6100 Klassik B.... and it has a work horse movement 6497 decorated.... abslutely no mods needed ...barring that strap which is around $35 exact same as gen ...the gen strap is $150... !!
  12. You are all going in my little black book !!
  13. So your blaming us ?! :) But its a great excuse..I must try it
  14. I hate you.... I hate you all...... !!! I need an RWG food parcel !! Doc that first pic looks like my sort of starters.... and Mike...your just mean man..... I am starving and wafer like and you just taunt me with your mouth watering comestibles !!
  15. LOL !! Now you are talking about my Mrs..... "The dumb begin to talk " :)
  16. Nice mate... you did a good job on the perlage.... though I aint seeing the CDG mate only the perlage... What head tool did you use?
  17. Its a MAN's watch...... but I could only borrow it and pretend !!
  18. I think the biggest issue at the moment is the search..especially going thorugh guys content... Its been a bit hit and miss of late.... I thought it was just a blip...but if I do say a search on my content...hardly any of it is there especially recent stuff...its the same on main search and other guys search contents... So OP might need to wait till the search is back up and running right... or maybe try and take the pages back to around the date he needs and to a do a manual search if it happens to him too...
  19. Awesome work mate.. great DW from Edge ... love it.. What did you have done in CDG mate?...Is behind CB on movement? Any pics from Domi? Did Domi do the perlage behind the dial and is that his current AR ? I have had a few done with his AR now... so i can just imagine it in the hand Looks great and Z is the go to man on these reps
  20. Cant agree with that mate ...!!! P4P......its defo my mum and aunties...!!
  21. Breitling Super Ocean II Chrono or Super Ocean Abyss both 44mm (Both from Noob maker) They are around $300 for Chrono and Abyss is movement dependant as you can get it with Sellita which is VG movement. And having had the Chrono I think they are the best Breitling OTB reps at the moment.....easily good enough for your concerns I only sold because it was too small for my wrists Here is a link to the orange accent version I sold...have a look as pics are decent than deler pics and there are reviews on here and side by sides with gen for comaprison.... http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/162739-sold-breitling-super-ocean-ii-chronograph-44mm-brand-new-noob/
  22. Agree on the chipping.... the best tool I accidentally found was the long pin from a set of hand removers..in the centre within the spring Also be careful you aint digging at the marker itself...obvious I know but easy done..
