Here is a link which helps to see your costs for import to various countries... so when youa sk a guy to state certain values or what the item is this is what you will be charged on it and the shipping (Remember the shipping value is calculated in the amount as well) It is correct based on a few packages I have had of late and is a great way to see what you will be charged based on what you are decalring in terms of value and teh item itself.. Remember you need to add in the shipping cost and also add on the admin charges for your postal service or the courier if relevant. Also any insurance required. So in UK you will be charged whatever calculator states plus the admin fees stated below... VAT is calculated including fee below Parcelforce charge £13.50 minimum plus the above (EMS etc) Royal Mail charge £8.00 (registered mail) FedEx, DHL charge around £15 upwards http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/ Its certainly ahndy when buying gen parts/straps etc from proper sources and to try and maximise your insurance cover if you want it but without going to far based on what its worth to you... and if its lost.

Dont use them sites mate Go down to our trusted dealer section.... You have 2 things you need to do before you buy... research the dealers for what suits you and your location And research the SA... There is loads of threads here that discuss the best options.... but short story is there are 2 decent versions that you can buy... H maker and Noob maker... Find the search bar at teh top of the page and start searching mate...it will take time and dont rush... Trust me I know the anticipation you must be feeling but just atke a breath and relax...there is a lot more to this than you might think and who knows you may want to stick around... TBH you dont help yourself with this as you first post... its considered a bit off to just post your first thread as a "I want to know where to buy the best....?" (Its referred to here as "Who has the best Sub.." thread) I would humbly suggest you go to the Noob section and have a read around..get to know the place and how things work in terms of dealers and reps...because there aint as many as you might think... And introduce yourself in the intro section... And FWIW...if you want the best Breitling rep OTB ...currently its the Superocean Abyss and Super Ocean II Chrono

Personally I would just contact Angus or Rochest mate...they are good at getting that sort of thing.... but it depends which case you want... Those guys are good for the noob case but if you want the H case then I would contact Josh or Andrew... However given the popularity of these..I would try a want to buy.... aim for just the case and crown and buy yourself a gen bezel... they can be made to fit on all of teh rep cases however difficulty varies on makers.. But there is plenty of info on that in the forums...

NEED HELP!Anyone have a Hublot Diver 4000 rubber crown piece
PeteM replied to indywatchguy's topic in Other Brands Area
Angus was able to source me one mate..cost $12 shipped...no hassle..he knew exactly what was needed -
Its can be a while before you see Tracking on EMS.... Andrew et al have a bunch of tracking numbers pre- assigned and use ... if he said soon it more likely means I dont know your specific watch as I deal with many ...but dont worry it will be soon.. My guess is ..its been notified for collection by EMS ...they will collect evry few days...then once they do you can wait upto 4-5 days to see an update or recognition The truth is ..We all experience at some time or another a very slow order/shipping process..... generally its not that long but it does happen and the longer you are in thsi game the more chance you will experience it.. However you seem to have hit that chance before most others... Dont worry mate.... Its on its way and if there is a problem then Andrew will resolve it... Now please once it arrives here...and is in customs dont post another thread Just be patient... it can take many many days I have learnt not to even ask for or even check tracking with an order from my dealer

eta 7753 + gen dial into a navitimer tricompax 7750 rep ?
PeteM replied to db1's topic in The Breitling Area
Sorry mate I am not following what you mean.... do you mean the date wheel?.... I am only referring to the sunken detail...DW may well need to be replaced with an ETA etc model dependant..etc -
my navitimer tricompax rep - how to tell which version?
PeteM replied to db1's topic in The Breitling Area
You have the V2 mate... assuming its the one I am thinking of -
No probs mate..I think its more of a historic choice in design for the Navi's... plus methods are slightly different... But it always makes me laff when I go in an AD and some snotty sales guy starts telling me down his nose that its a Helium release valve :) I dont usually say anything unless he is particularly snobby towards me Then I go for it ...after he has dug himself deep enough...

Though it does depend on the crystal...ie sapphire, synthetic, mineral etc and the watch its for.... because hues vary from gen to gen etc What are you looking to get done and where are you located... do you mind shipping outide where you are There is LeWiz,Domi, PBDad, Vac, Goin, Taka, Uwe, plus several others..tehy all have different types of AR and hues and strength vary.. Personally if you want the strongest AR then Domi's current coater is by far the best.... I have tried them all...he also has a different coater for Mineral etc which is also clear and strong

Ah OK Watchrecon, WIS Market etc...gotcha mate... So you are looking to bring M2M sales? or Dealer? or both? Then search based on cost, location, key words of model specific? But how do you envisage controlling access? both for selling and buying? Would it be say a VIP access only like RG does for sales etc...that way only contributiors can access your hardwork.. or are you thinking stand alone given costs... or advertsing to pay for site costs/running etc... Watchrecon is a great tool especially for non forum members or occasional enthusiasts ..gen wise.... but my knee jerk response worries that this type of tool could create attention or abuse... potentially drawing in all sorts just like watchrecon does.... whereas for reps it would really need to be so controlled..I am sure you have considered that... May I ask have you discussed your ideas directly with the RWG crew or or Forum crews? not to discuss specifics of site but more the bigger picture of creating such a site/tool...and the repercussions something like this could create in the rep world and its exposure... if you get what I mean... the comparison of watchrecon does open a whole host of potential issues that could arise in terms of the rep world.or more specifcally our forums/dealers/members..That needed consideration (of the bigger picture) could only come from the considerable experience in the forum admin teams.... Dont misunderstand me mate I am not questioning your ability or capability of creating this.... but more by doing so ..how it could be used from a double edged perspective..

Looking for - Omega Aqua Terra GMT 2012 - 231.10
PeteM replied to wescombe's topic in The Omega Area
Who are you mate? ...I only ask as you only seem to be advertising this site in your sig.... are you connected with this site? They are not a trusted dealer here and I do not think it is apprpriate that you punt this site around this forum without seeking approval from the mod team -
Looking for - Omega Aqua Terra GMT 2012 - 231.10
PeteM replied to wescombe's topic in The Omega Area
You should be patient mate.... there is currently a new range of rep ATs being produced by the factory... they are looking to include some of the latest 11/12 SIHH releases It has been discussed to some extent on RG... along with updates.. -
I am probably really missing the point of this mate... But I dont get why... honestly and without trying to sound like a sour puss... Maybe I will when you have done it...but wouldnt it help in terms of feedback if you were to share an example of what you ahve done..or allow a few guys access to play with it on a limited basis... even if I am completely missing something in the idea...doing that would certainly help you prevent wasted sweat and effort..or allow you to hone the format.. I applaud your efforts mate...

eta 7753 + gen dial into a navitimer tricompax 7750 rep ?
PeteM replied to db1's topic in The Breitling Area
Its funny that even the gen doesnt have a QD setter...you have to do an involved method to change the date without just going through the cycles... But if you after a Sunken mod with the gen dial then there are several options.... 3 that I am aware of... Or just go with the Valjoux 7754 if you wnat gen -

This has been the subject of much confusion in the past both with rep and gen owners and even dealers selling gens !! It exists to accomodate and cover a gear-type mechanism that allows the bezel to rotate smoothly rather than in clicks - the way most bezels rotate, e.g., 1 click per minute on dial, 2 clicks per minute on dial. This way precise conversions can be made with the slide rule. The circular piece on the side has NO external function for you in operating the watch. So basically the valve you're referring to is actually a cover which houses a gear mechanism that allows the outer bezel to turn the inner bezel while allowing the crystal to remain stationary. Here is a quote and picture from the Breitling for Bentley Chronolog: "The outer ring is activated by rotating the ratcheted bezel, which drives a pinion and arbor acting on the mobile disc. This clever mechanical device guarantees compliance with all the water-resitance parameters."
