  1. W Not sure if these are useful mate but I found these pics on PS...
  2. Thanks mates.... I know its not really relevant to the guys going all out with their reps but hopefully this assures the guys who arent heavy modders or cant afford it that you shouldnt consider this AR hue as a tell.. like we use to with PAMs... It would be a shame to remove the AR just because of this or to get an AR thats got a different type of hue... like yellowy... W... Talking about AR..... I found a nice pic for you of the Oceanographic..... I also have some great macros of a gen if you are interested mate
  3. Nice work mate.... I see Uwe's AR is still yellowish though on black dials... Did Uwe thicken the markers when luming to match gen? I cant tell from pics mate... I think he has...
  4. I am sure I recall Vac selling a few of these... in 2009 I did buy one.... but it looked more like a butterfly Not sure if its the same the M is on about...
  5. I have just started getting into Hublots... as a few of you might know I am a PAM guy... AS with PAMs everyone talks about AR on the hublots I did a little research myself and found just like PAMs ... Hublots AR vary from model to model and year to year... so in some cases the blue/purply hue on the V6 AR can be very similar to the gens.. To make the point below are images of a HBB V6 SS and a pic of a gen HBB SS but with a ceramic bezel... this was changed by the owner when he purchased it.. the gen is the one on the right in the 2 watch shot.... the other is a V1 or V2 I am not sure... the picture is not mine but another members which I hope he wont mind me using Gen and V1/V2 shot Gen My V6 SS OK my pic skills aint great but you get the idea So for those of you concerned about AR... Dont be... its just the same as say the gen crystal height etc.. only a very few might know So dont go removing it unless you are convinced your model is diffferent
  6. Thanks for reply DH So it has got that blue lume sweep on the rep? Also is there any chance you could post a comparison pic with another watch.... I have heard these wear big for a 42mm but not seen anything to scale it by Hope you dont mind me asking mate
  7. Looks good mate... Congrats.. These do look very nice.... the only thing is in the gen pics I have seen on RF there is a lume sweep marker up by the 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock... the lume shots I saw of it had it lumed a different colour to the rest ...... like this.... Is it the pic?? As an aside here are some similar gen shots for comparison... Hope thats OK mate
  8. Very nice rep and looks great on the wrist but until they sort out the movement and crystal then it aint quite there.... It is a great rep though I had a couple and loved the mini fiddy style case.. Admittedly there are other flaws but no more than these other so called super reps...
  9. Shame you aint got a shot of her trying to get at a drip from between those headrests !!
  10. Nice watch winder case mate... I like that
  11. Nice work Warren... Looks good mate... I have one away for crystaless AR, rebrush and relume plus the sec hand mod and service but what do you mean by the inner bezel wells lightening? Are you referring to the poor lume height and shape etc? Wear it well mate Congrats
  12. Very nice pics mate... and a nice selection of watches... But obviously the first pic I guess your watch was on holiday I take it that its now back in the UK :)
  13. Thanks mate. I appreciate the info Yes I think those were Gordons... but I can see why you would use this caseback as it has a great shape and thickness... which I personally like. Blimey a brass caseset... I bet that looked very nice... I can understand why you wouldnt want to play about with that I would like in my head that sort of case with a GG dial I will check out HF thanks I should more often but always seem to find logging in a problem... Thanks again for sharing mate
  14. More great pics mate and some great work... especially by hand Sorry if this is a daft question but I have never heard of 'Athaya'.... have you any other info or links please. Could you explain what removing the pin does for the movement? Is it necessary to mod the movement or just a way of making look better? I love the thickness of the CB.... but not sure if its just the pics but is the engraving a little shallow... I have seen others which much deeper or looking deeper.. Does this vary and is there a preferred option.... I am guessing that its the thickness of the CB thats making this a preferred option here... I hope that makes sense mate..
  15. I think its on the back burner at the moment mate.. AS for accuracy.... the Hublot gens all vary from models to years in colour of AR..... so the V6 versions do match some gen models when it comes to AR.... as do the V1s however TXs have the rightish height compared to the gens which the V1 doesnt and the V6 does... Just because the AR is bluish doesnt mean it doesnt look gen.... it depends on more than that...
  16. Look forward to it I find Rochest and Mary very patient for such searches....
  17. Thank you mate.... that is absolutely brilliant.... I cannot stop smiling... I just dont know where to start....
  18. Hello mate,,, Welcome I look forward to seeing you about.... dont get overwhelmed it can be daunting... but you wont find a better set of guys to help you through those first stages...
  19. I would try Watch International in the TD section .... they can source some lesser common versions including older versions... send them an Email mate Let us know how you get on...
  20. Congrats mate Yes these are a fantastic rep ... Glad you mentioned your arms... I thought you had balanced it on top of your head
  21. So Red swirls like brandy... I guess that means he has to warm it up... We now know BikeMike waxes his hands... TJ is in the closet about making a noise as he shakes it... ASC likes to flick it about the place.... and Woof is a long term planner when it comes to shaking it....
  22. Oooo ...Red thats a nice VC mate.... what colour is that dial.. I saw a brown dial version once and was really taken with it... the reason I ask is the brown dial was so variable in different lights... it could even look slateish in some angles.. as I recall I think it was Ti cased. The compressor of these looks nice too... Great pic mate
  23. Yeah but can you do the sound as you do it.... you cant do the Nescafe unless you do the sound.... Law of England.. @F.... whose eyes closed ??? @woof.... what about alternating hands after 2 shakes?
