  1. just got this: things are moving on ...
  2. hand sizes for an eta 1080 are 150/90/20, hands for a 2824 should be 150/90/25, so that shouldn't be a big problem! no idea on a movement spacer/ring yet ... cheers, tim
  3. That would be interesting to know I suppose the gen is miles ahead, but maybe the rep dial is beautiful on it's own?
  4. Okay guys! Here's my first attempt on trying to replicate that caseback: What do you think? (I know it's nowhere near the real deal, but it's a start!) Cheers, Tim
  5. Yeah, but you feel better when you have the gen! It's just nicer And for that price, you really can't complain!
  6. I've asked the same ... Phong has one for nearly the same price, but nobody has been able to give a proper opinion yet!
  7. Jesus christ! that panda is basically free!
  8. I used to own one with a lovely thin case and correct dial ... been missing it ever since! the 1675 is the nicest vintage rolex!
  9. looks nice! say, does it have the correct thin case?
  10. oh my! I had completely forgotten about that project!
  11. isn't the rep dial not that bad? or have i got this completely wrong ... I thought the new rep was quite accurate from the front!
  12. won't help him, different layout. sounds like you have a faux-chrono, I don't think a spare movement will be an easy fit! (meaning you have a 21j movement and no a7750) maybe the best would be to get a new secs@6 rep, probably wouldn't even be much more and sell yours! cheers, tim
  13. isn't that what you'd call an integrated bracelet design? please correct me if I'm wrong
  14. I'd like to See IWC modifying an a7750 try One of the trusted dealers, maybe they sell spares ... otherwise your Best bet would Be an IWC rotor I suppose. but honestly, why bother? It won't look accurate anyway, just go with a normal a / swiss 7750 cheers, tim
  15. not at all, everybody that knows the movement will now it's not real (just look at the gen one post up) but then again, I think nobody here could actually afford a gen one (and if they could, they probably wouldn't be buying reps) and the chance of running into one in the wild are practically zero. or were you talking about the white lettering? beauty of a watch though! the only toubillon I'm actually considering, just for the fun of it cheers, tim
  16. the movement for these is a 7750! standard daytona case?
  17. let's face it, unless you hang around with a bunch of watch fanatics, NOBODY! will be able to spot a rep. (a decent one that is) since this is a vintage model, the people that know what it's worth will doubt it's authenticity. with the rest of the population it will probably raise less eyebrows than a simple SS submariner
  18. looks nice! I think the strap goes very well!
  19. just stick to the trusted dealers on here and you should be fine!
  20. Have a look at the "Welcome Back" post, everything is explained in there Classifieds are replacing the trading zone
  21. For the record: I don't think the "watchbox" function is working at the moment. I get "Server returned with an error" after uploading a picture. Cheers, Tim
