  1. I was running one for a while ... got kind of bored with it and shut it down. Siri is actually totally useless to me, I just wanted to proove I could do it
  2. they're both awesome watches! I'd go for the chrono though ...
  3. Thanks ... I remember watching the movie and thinking "damn, that watch is awesome". Only later I learned that it was an IWC! Cheers, Tim
  4. they're both good reps (the ultimate jumbo and the ultimate nautilus), they are both one of THE classic gerald gent designs and price wise as far as I understand they are similar. So, whichever you choose, it's gonna be a good choice I personally prefer the Royal Oak just a little bit, but I like the Nautilus as well. Gruß, Tim
  5. i actually think the blue goes really well with the dark titanium! pretty awesome!
  6. out of curiosity: is that the "slevin"?
  7. Know the feeling How ... or why? "Oh, that's a nice 16622 you have there!" "I beg your pardon, sir?"
  8. such a shame ... I really like this model, hope they'll get it right at some point!
  9. oh man ... those datejusts are growing on me absolutely the right decision! and a great present too cheers, Tim
  10. I've always wanted a Navitimer ... but I guess the amount of work involved has also always put me off. Used gen is probably going to be the route for me on this one. Lovely watches, all of you!
  11. I don't understand why we can't see the procedure ... Is it like a super secret patented method that all of us would try to copy afterwards? I thought this community was about sharing knowledge and not trying to make a profit. That being said, I think this thread is a sad example of a trend noticeable throughout RWG at the moment. It has absolutely no value at all to the community. Cheers, Tim
  12. I always use chronos when I'm wearing one, sometimes I let them run just for amusement! But nevertheless I nearly always make sure to have a serviced swiss movement inside.
  13. Has to be the Santos! One of the most classy watches ever! I would choose the SS version though, not the PVD. The HB might be a good rep, but for some reason the watch just screems rep to me, if it's gen or not. Cheers, Tim
  14. if they rep'd this and screwed up the thickness, we'd have an awesome dress watch kind of hoping the makers will release two versions, one correct and one "flawed"!
  15. I really liked the 3717 one ... although the clasp wasn't great, it felt really nice on the wrist. I've hear the gen is supposed to be miles ahead though!
  16. Well, there is ndt, I have the feeling they are both essentially offering the same super franken reps. They seem to have their suppliers. I've always wondered what these pieces would look / feel like in reality. I assume these are made to be sold on as vintage gens, they are a league above what happens amongst honest rep collectors. Cheers, Tim
  17. so are these nos noobs? or completely new cartel stuff?
  18. sounds like a pretty good deal!
  19. you'll Need something like a dremel ... get one, it's a Good investment!
  20. my absolute grail! (unfortunately slightly out of reach at the moment )
  21. gen tudor 1156/1163, running, but I'll have it serviced when the watch shall be assembled. (it's missing the hour wheel, but that should be obtainable) I was thinking of using that 6542 case for the project (or are there better ideas?) I'm just wondering about the position of the lugholes, they seem a little off. anybody have any experience with puretimes sending to europe? the only acceptable dial I've seen is the NDT for 600$ and that's just too much no idea on the dial yet ... cheers, tim
