  1. Very nice, i like the way you've positioned the bezel screws to follow the circumference of the bezel, along with angling all the other ones appropriatly. I've always wondered why Hublot does not do this
  2. My HBB King Power all-black has gotten more compliments than anything else in my rotation... so far On the flip-side, my AP EOD on Luca strap is "nothing special" and "why do you wear that when you have so many nicer watches?"... LOL!
  3. Here's how mine is currently with custom dial, bezel, datewheel, and crystal: Before with standard Ice-dial:
  4. cell phone pic... wearing my bro's santos today
  5. I used to feel the same... then I picked up a PAM 111 in the sales forums that was lumed by The Zigmeister. My 1st day wearing it on my way to work I almost hit the car in front of me in a tunnel because I was staring at how bright the lume was. It was mesmerizing. On some watches it is worth doing, on others not so much, and if it's done well it really is a work of art
  6. high end rep, no question... I would enjoy it even more if I had a hand in modding it
  7. woa... 10 in one order. Now that's a gamble! I always order 2 at a time (maby 3) and wait until each order arrives before you place another order. I think most dealers have a fixed shipping cost on 1-3 units as that's how many will fit into a single package. This will also give you a chance to inspect the watches and deal with any potential problems as there is no such thing as QC, ans in that many watches you are bound to have problems of some sort Last and most important, every order has a chance to be seized by customs. Spread out the orders to improve the odds of getting your shipment. Ya a dealer may replace a seized shipment... but i doubt any would do it for 10 units
  8. It's a CGI image, It's got the dial and hands of an all-black, the bezel of an old ice with the smooth edge (not sure if it's supposed to be ceramic or not), and a lighter numeral datewheel (looks grey to me). You can't take the CGI's too seriously cuz they always differ from they actually make
  9. I think the trend is already slowly going back to the smaller end of the spectrum. You can't get much bigger than a 44 without looking a bit joker.
  10. I will have to try those too... this is what i've been doing to date with no problems at all: Best tool = take one of the presto #1's and rip everything off them so that they are in a sense a pair of simple tweezers, then file the bottom edge of them down until they are razor thin (so that they can slip between the hands and chrono hand/dial without any scratching as long as you have a steady hand). This tool will now also allow you to remove tri-compax gears on A7750's with ease.
  11. He countersinks the area where the locknut goes so that it can be properly turned and locked... the easy way is to just glue it in place, but then if yo ulook at it you can see that it's not properly locked. It's just one more step closer to perfection
  12. Very nice build... please don't remove the PVD, it looks so good!
  13. very nice... Thanks for the review. The gold one is very tempting
  14. ya, he is machining them, I asked him I was thinking of doing this too and I just got another rotor to test it out on. I will use a dremel though so lets hope I have a steady hand...
  15. ^ Thanks for doing this for us! about the bezel, fair enough, you don't have to remove it. I just do because the ceramic is sharp and I don't want to accidentally damage the glass if something slips or pops out as the ceramic can chip it. If anyone needs an H-screwdriver just take a flat-head and file a notch in the middle Do it in outer space... No matter what i've done in the past there is ALWAYS dust in there after I close the caseback. Even when I am 100% sure and inspect under all kinds of light and everything. Dust is smart, it knows how to hide, how to blend in... once you put that caseback on it's the cue for that dust hiding in there to come out and play. Have fun
  16. You definetly need a TX crystal to finish that off question; did he replace the entire rotor or just the text? I see that the rotor lock nut is properly rotated and countersunk... something not possible when doing the mod on a standard V1 rotor. Or is he now machining the rotor to do a proper mod?
  17. why don't you just get this (scroll down to the 2nd watch for sale). It is in Singapore, and it's amazing:
  18. The AR is really amazing. It is better than i've seen on many gens. To change a crystal is relatively easy, but if you've never done it then maby buy a cheap quartz HBB and practice on that 1st. Remove the caseback, then the stem, then movement and bezel and clasp (or whole strap if you want) and then push out the rep crystal with your thumbs. It will pop out hard so do it over a carpet or something soft. Lay down a nice clean cloth of some kind and place the TX crystal on it (beveled edge down), then place the crystal gasket in the case, then place the case onto the crystal and push evenly and hard. It will slide right in. Check to make sure it's in even, and just push around the edge to even it out if needed. kinda like this:
  19. Way to bump an old thread... definitely get TX's crystal while you can. It's amazing!
  20. That would be great! They are every bit as popular as AP's and deserve their own subforum. By far my favorite watch to take apart and work on. I have a BB incoming and when it arrives I think I will order this All-Black. It is so stupid as you can't read it, but what the hell, it's pretty badass!
