  1. Yup, perfect combo. You will have sellers remorse if you let that one go
  2. Amazing work! From the pictures this looks great. I can not see any defects...
  3. I swapped bezels today and found a way to press the crystal without a press. Figured I'd share this for those who might need to do a swap and don't have the appropriate equipment. 1st off I had to take the whole watch apart anyway because last night I was going about my business and 'BAM' ... I smacked the watch hard on something and it was bad The bezel was dented, crown dented, stem tube appeared bent and disloged. Very painful to endure. Long story short I was able to remove the stem and repress the threads onto the tube with a clamp and straighten everything else, then press the tube back into the case after completely resanding it, and all was well. Now for the crystal; this Safari has the bezel screws sticking up a bit and i don't like it, so I had an extra bezel in the watch box waiting for a reason for me to swap it out. The rep crystal is not stepped with two gaskets like the gen, so just pop it out with your thumbs. To press it into the new bezel just get a socket of slightly smaller size and rubber band two sheets of quad-folded toilet paper on one end. Then install the bezel gasket, place bezel brushed side down on a paper/wood surface and use the papered end of the socket with the heel of your hand pushing uniformly down. This will get the crystal to flush with the bezel... now to get it to pop out a little use the old bezel. Place the old bezel brushed side up, put a piece of clear plastic on it (to protect the bezel surfaces), and place the new bezel with brushed side down on top. Use the socket to press it down just a bit more and it will pop out a bit through the opening of the old bezel. I even used a small rubber tipped hammer to tap around the edge to get it perfect. It worked out very well, and only took 5 minutes... So now the watch is good as new , save for the small dent in the crown that I was almost able to remove. I will leave a part of the dent as a memento so that I remember to mind the watch! Some pics: And of my poor bent stem tube: Good as new:

^ Yes, they have room. Don't worry, they are not a 'hipster' skin tight jean. I never wore a slim in the past because of this so when we were designing these I addressed that point. Wear them for a few days and they will conform to your body even better. If you are measuring in like Ron Jeremy then perhaps go for the straight leg so you can hang down the pant leg, LOL, but even with our slim you'll be fine PM me if interested
  5. It's not Friday here yet, but I'll be wearing the same thing I wore all week. Ahhh Safari

Triarchy Denim for me ...but I am biased because it's my brand. I started it last year with my brother and sister. My brother is the designer. We are a premium brand, but very new and niche so not readily available, yet. Not on the cheaper end (retail is 200~ish), but we are manufactured in LA with Italian Denim for mens, Japanese for womens. The style is clean and dark. They look good with a T-shirt or dressed up with a jacket. They look great with every watch If anyone here is interested I can hook them up for a very good RWG price check them out @ www.triarchy.com ps: I also built the bike
  7. watcheden for ap parts?... im gonna have to check that out. thanks for the heads up.
  8. I think what would really help is some general maintenance. It's just like a car. Stay on top of the little things and it'll last you forever. To set yourself up with some decent tools just go and get a tackle-box and hit ebay for the tools. For less than the cost of a cheap rep you'll have every tool you'd need. If you're afraid of damaging a watch just get a broken one (or a cheap one) and practice on it. Trust me, your shaky hands will steady over time. Every rep I gets taken completely apart (save for a full service if the movement seems in good order) and reassembled myself to make sure it's acceptable to my QC standards.
  9. I wish they'd just get on with it and rep this one properly:
  10. My 1st watch was a Tag given to me by my father over 20 years ago. My brother got the same one. As a child I pretty much destroyed it. It's had a crystal replacement, crown replacement, bracelet link, etc... I still have it and it still works perfectly (the only quartz I own). That's gotta say something
  11. Using the description "watch return to sender for repair" with a ~50 value declaration is the best way to ensure no customs delays when buying/selling from forum members. Also helps to remove the strap (pack it in the same box) to make it look a little more 'in need of repair' to the untrained eye. Only ship via USPS / Canada-Post, and ask the seller to do the same. When buying from trusted dealers just sit back and relax, they always fill in the forms correctly. It's the same cost to ship 1 or 2 watches from dealer, so always order 2 to spread out the shipping cost over multiple items, and make yourself even happier... go for 3 if you can, but sometimes that's an extra charge for 3 or more depending on size/weight of the watches. Never use UPS, Fedex, etc... OMG what a nightmare. Don't ask why, just don't use them, period!
  12. I've got on my King Power All Black on gen Hublot strap
  13. I'm still wearing this one for over a week, going on two... Almost switched it yesterday but I just couldn't.
  14. I've had this on all week, can't get enough of it!
  15. I've never liked this one personally, but I do like that the reps are going to be harder to get than the gens... 100 reps made vs. 300 gen!
