  1. Alligoat, Does this vendor sell Branded bracelets? They look very nice, yet I'm in need of branded bracelets...Thx, mcotter
  2. Thanks Preacher, Your system seems quite correct, I'll give it a try. Although it would seem like a 2nd pair of hands is in order. I appreciate your input! Regards, mcotter
  3. You're going at it w/ too much intensity! Spend time studying the piece you are emulating, get to recognize the effect you're after. Rarely does a dial look as "baked" as yours does. The insert looks like you've gone at it w/ abrasives. An aged faded insert is "gentle", not like its been draged behind your motorcycle! There are many "tutorials" on aging, read many & practice, practice, practice.......You'll get it w/ time. ( sorry if I've been too harsh on your efforts,) This forum has many very talented "Agers" If that's a word who will chime in I'm sure. Regards, mcotter
  4. A very handsome result, your detailing is superb! How do you change the crown profile? The logical use of a lathe I'd guess ? Although you mention your Dremel, it would seem that you'd have to turn the crown while grinding, beveling w/your Dremel? Thanks for your input,I so enjoy seeing your work! Mcotter
  5. Great news! Roland Kemmner came through & my "Bund" is on it's way......Best, mcotter

  7. In search of a Heuer Bund rep, I'm aware of the Ebay seller w/ them ( no response to questions) Also Kemmner in Germany who I asked for an invoice? Striking out..Any help appreciated..My thanks, mcotter@skbk.com
  8. Whoopy, I've had some success fabricating blanks from sheet brass w/ a fly cutter & drill press. I know finding quanity in proper size on a custom basis should not be that tuff, soldering feet is another matter. I've made a few paper transfer dials w/ good success & cutting perfect circles w/ a blade installed compass is a breeze. I believe that a red 1680 dial w/ have the biggest audience...I'll watch your progress w/ much interest....mcotter
  9. JB, If you wish to borrow a datewheel...Need to know if plastic or saphire, let me know....Regards, mcotter
  10. Gents, I have a 45mm. rad coming from Getat & wish to have a "Rolex" dial as in the historic Pam/Rolex colaboration. The problem is where can a dial be had? There are a number of reps in this format yet all appear to be the 47mm. size.case which is too large for me. Ive had the artwork done in proper size yet where to go from here eludes me! Thanks in advance for your help & wisdom.....Happy Easter, mcotter
  11. A few days ago on one of the forums there was a strap discussion where a member suggested "Dangerous9straps" & furnished a link. I toured the site & loved his work. 14. That case was intended to house a 21j faux chrono.Years ago I purchased one w/ a vintage Daytona dial & pushers that change day/date only. It's 40mm, 20mm lugs unlike a vintage daytona which is 38mm w/ 19mm lugs. I had the dial redone in all white/silver, put a jubilee bracelet on it...It looks like a steroidal vintage Daytona...Regards, mcotter
  15. Another viable option is "International Dial Co." in Ohio....Yes M, KR did transform a current Daytona dial into a vintage! Regards, mcotter
