  1. I guess after Graham selling their pieces with success, AP felt the need to tap into that market as well. Sorry, but not for me....
  2. @Iceberg... you definitely gotta be more careful with your Expl II crystals.....
  3. Bonne Voyage... enjoy the trip and have fun.
  4. ... Let me say a very big THANK YOU to Sssurfer for making this available. When AJ posted the tutorial, I downloaded it but forgot to make sure that pictures were stored locally. When I looked at it several weeks later - two DG4813 in front of me -, pix had been removed from online storage and ... from my copy as well. I've been looking hard for this...
  5. I'm ususally not into MS bashing but IE8 is a pretty crappy piece of sw...
  6. I understand the reason for trying this.... but me personally thinks it sucks!
  7. I think it's not so much a question of rep or gen - more a question of mechanical or quartz. Just like I don't jog with my harddisk Ipod, I would not wear any of my mechanical automatic watches playing golf, tennis or any other sport that involves high speed arm movement because of the stress it puts on the movement. A good quality watch may survive any of that but aside from the need to "show off", there is no reason not to switch to a Casio for a few hours.
  8. I've been riding bikes for over thirty years. Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Bimota, Ducati... ever since my kid was born, I've become more careful and reduced the HP My current ride:
  9. Very sad to see another one of the legends pass away....
  10. Let me just add... when you put the screws back after replacing the strap, don't forget to use some loctite blue to secure them. They tend to "disappear" and are very, very difficult to get. It would be a shame to turn a nice watch into a paperweight because of a missing screw.
  11. I am now 100 positive that this is a hoax. AFAIK the guy driving the dwarf Porsche GT is Ralley legend Walter R
  12. I fear you guys are right about the photoshop thing. I would be totally cool though if this was a real product. I love the Q7 dwarf...
  13. ....found this while surfing.... The Cuffless Cufflink button hack hxxp://www.engadget.com/2008/09/17/the-cuffless-cufflink-button-hack/
  14. Rolli, you have the most amazing PAM collection I have ever seen on any board. This 201 is in a league of its own...
  15. back after summer vacation...PAM202a on OT Goatskin Strap...
  16. Do it. It's a good deal. Nothing on the watch that can't be polished.... Great model.... here's mine
  17. The rubber strap sucks IMHO... but thats just me. The watch in your avatar (nice avatar by the way ... ) is on a leather strap as seen in picture no.1 above... - Keeps very good time and runs (knocking on wood in the background) like a charm...
  18. Ola amigo.... I think you're having a blakkout there.... there aint no site selling these for 75$.... I'm afraid you have to do a little more saving.....
  19. ....yeah - that post was looooong overdue .
  20. I forgot to add.... if you like this watch, download the trailer (30 MB) from IWC's site. Pretty nice... hteeteepee://hickory.ch.richemont.com/messepopup_2007/davinci/_mov/davinci_big.wmv
  21. No one (except a very confused old person) would sell any item - provided it is functioning and in good shape -
  22. Because the single most important thing that separates reps (even high end ones) from gens is the total absence of QC, I would not take any rep into the water unless it has been checked first. Caseback has to be tightened, gaskets greased and crystal checked. Then - if all is ok - most (non chrono) sporty watches with screw on crowns (subs, PO, SFSO, PAMS) can be used for showering and swimming. Try
  23. This for today. An Omega Seamaster 300M Chrono Diver which I recently bought from a member. Aside from the obvious flaws of the subdial spacing/size, the resulting 3/6/9 markers and the
