  1. Long time no hear.... glad to see you back.
  2. I think there is no arguing that the Admin had no other choice but to act - personal threats are a no go. Still, RWG will be a less colorful place with TTK gone. I
  3. TTK - Sorry to hear that, get well soon! ...nothing's more important that health...
  4. Very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeee piece! These Submersibiles are really growing on me.....
  5. The problem with waterproof is not so much the rep itself - which in most cases is contructed very similar to it's gen counterpart, but the non-existent QC of the Rep-Factories / drop-shipping Dealers. Unless you have a few tools and feel comfortable taking your watch apart, I would not take any freshly delivered rep (maybe with the exception of my TTK noobmariners ;-) for a swim. In most cases, casebacks are not tightened, o-rings are not lubed or even there and sometimes case, crown and crystal are not perfect specimens of their race.... In my early days of rep-collecting I paid an extra 50$ waterproofing fee for a PO 007 from one of our "seasoned" dealers and that watch arrived with a loose caseback... now I own a Bergeon 555, silicon grease and many tools... and I don't believe in "ultimate" or "waterproof" anymore. If you don't want to get into that watch-improvement thing... take your candidate to a local, small watchsmith (not an AD). To have a watch tested costs less than a cheap plastic strap...
  6. No need for fancy superlatives.... The Zigmeister's work simply is the best. Now if you will excuse me while I get help to re-attach my jaw....
  7. Thanks for this nice review. I especially like the monochromatic picture style...
  8. too many to list them but here are some I have posted before....
  9. I would go with the helmet design. To me, it fits better with the history of the brand....
  10. Like Alligoat said... you can change the insert without too much trouble but don't try to remove the bezel, unless you are very experienced. Depending on your source, an aftermarket insert in most cases will snap-fit without the need for grinding. I have two noobs and changed the inserts on both several times without problems. Secure the insert with appropriate glue... I use G-S Hypo Cement, which you can buy on the Bay (look at this item 350028174786). It has a very fine applicator, which helps. My inserts came from this seller on the bay (look at item 310025422875). Have fun...
  11. Oh yeah..... this baby is beautiful. Don't care about the spacing - it's not ugly, just different from the gen - which you see very rarely in the wild.
  12. Very nice pictures as always... thanks for sharing.
  13. The answer is yes, no and no.... Watch: see below..., Rep: no, Gen: no, I put mine together from parts in the watchbox. You can always get a PVD caseset from DS and throw in your 111h movement & dial. AFAIK, there is no repfactory pvd see-thru caseback, so if that's what you want, you might try with people like Rolli or Ajoesmith and send them a 111h case&back for PVD'ing...
  14. Very nice pictures.... I've allways liked this one....
  15. Now this is really a BLACK Seal...
  16. Me have new toy.... hey - I'm speaking about the WATCH!
  17. I did order this watch shortly after it’s debut. The clear "Industrial" design of the Porsche P6000 “Flat Six” Chrono seemed like a nice addition to my existing collection and I had planed to write a review about it. While I was waiting in anticipation, I read a number of very nice reviews on this model (Lanikai, Daytona4me, Mickey Padge), so by the time it arrived, the need for yet another appraisal was zilch. I will only say so much: the quality of this watch is really amazing… and, take your time sizing the band or if you are equipped with two left ones, ask for professional help. Instead, let me share my double-flat-six wallpaper (1600x1200)… (PS: I ordered the watch from PT Precious Time, who did his usual great job…)
  18. Good idea... thanks for sharing. This probably works on other casebacks - i.e. MBW DRSD as well...
  19. I have read similar ideas all over the various boards over the last years... Everytime DS released another version of his improved dials with less old but more new flaws... somehow it never happened... I remember that lello only a few days ago said that his printer would not have problems printing PAM dials... If there was a source for such highend mod parts... they would sell. People invest quite a bit of money in mods, AR, MBW, SWISS et al... I for one would buy a couple of good lugwires for Radiomir PAMs right away...
  20. just imagine there was a hold-up in the restaurant. Some guy walks out with what he thinks is the steal of his life.... and a group of pepole who have a hard time explaining to the cops what was stolen.....
