  1. Wanting to pick up a couple nato and/or zulu straps in various colors...wondering if someone knows of a good source with good pricing...the key is nice quality -- for PAMs, etc...love the maratac zulus, but wanting to buy 4 or so colors - the price gets up there...

    appreciate the assist...

    R-

Contact Howard at westcoasttime (info@westcoasttime.com) and ask for a group discount on a few of them. I grabbed a couple from his eBay store, gen Maratacs are the only way to go. The rest are a waste of time and money.

  2. Looks like it melted on his wrist?

For those not in the know, Warnie was our most famous spin bowler in the quaint British Empire sport of cricket. He fell from grace and public opinion after he got caught cheating by his wife. His most noticeable recent life achievement was banging Liz Hurley... ;)

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!

  3. Just got this 24mm Maratac 4-ring in PVD (brushed stainless incoming), fits like a glove and looks very cool on the 111, it's my first NATO-type strap and I see what all the fuss is about.

Plus, this sexy little SEAD Ultimate now has more shoes than a shoe store... ;)

  4. Try yobokies@yahoo.com.hk

He has some amazing stuff original and mods. He might be able to help you source it. But he is in HK.

Good point, the things this guy does with Seikos is mental, do a search for Yobokies on Google. He does custom work with dials, amazing hands and case mods, PVD etc. Really top work. Plus he will have a good supply of parts.

  5. Hi All,

I don't post much on here and have been a bit of a lurker for the last couple of years.....!

Anyway, I have a pair of aerospaces, one older and one of the newer ones.

The older one was left for a few months without a battery, then when I got it back out to get a new battery, the display is fecked, and the watch is dead.

This is what the good one looks like:

I've done a bit of research, here and on some gen forums, and it appears to be an ETA 988*** quartz movement.

    Right....now for the big question.

Does anyone have one of these movements that they are willing to sell (or know where I can get one) ?

Failing that, would it be possible to swap out the movement/dial for a swiss eta automatic movement and a gen breitling dial from something else, to make a Frankeneitling !

Anyone of the wise members got any ideas?

    Cheers

    J

Bitten by the Curse of the LCD. The same thing has happened to a few (very expensive in some cases) calculators. A new movement swap will be a couple of hundred dollars for parts and labour, it depends on how attached you are to your watch :) if it has some sentimental value, then I'd restore it to Original condition, otherwise have a ball with it :) I've never seen a breitling AeroNavitimer :)

  6. Your work is far better from other tattos i have seen!

Tattos Is NOT my thing, to me all tattos or other things that you put or nail on your body is ugly! Call me old school but i cant see the love for doing that to your body.

But as for the drawings i like them :)

You have an eye for it, just grab some pig skins and practise practise practise. I really like the art too :)

  7. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Thanks once more, LH. Have nothing to loose really as these so called Vintage Daytona's with the lady "bits" were as cheap as chips and I just don't have the heart to sell them on to other Noobs like I was :victory: or should I be honest and stay still am? Was in hospital a few weeks ago having MRI's and CT Scans ... so why didn't I think to hide some watches in my pockets to get them scanned? ... but that's me, I get always get great ideals if someone tells me first. Darn.

Better you didn't, as they'd probably be a touch out of timing when zapped by a 7 Tesla magnetic field... Not that you'd know as they would have very permanently embedded themselves in the wall - along with your wrists :o) MRIs are great machines.

I wish you well mate, funny post about the 'ladies'

  8. Meh,religious people are nuts,without question.

Funny pic i saved a while back though,i`m sure its a rollie.... :D

Not questioning his fine taste in watches (it IS a funny pic, even on a Rollercoaster he manages to look like Senator Palpatine... hehehe), just his moral character...

  9. Thinner deployants and deployant straps are absolutely the way to go. I've worn an OEM croc on deployant and it's a night and day difference with a fat tang strap. Still, there is no hiding the thickness of a 44/47mm Luminor under a cuff... That's why I wear a Pilot Bracelet Breitling for business, and a PAM for pleasure... :)

  10. Apparently the whole series 312/320/328/329 is finally released. Who has taken the plunge on the 329? The one all the rest were modeled from. Thinking of taking the plunge on a GMT model, but wondering if the datewheel is super sunken. Thoughts would be appreciated!

  11. Niiiiiiiice, T. Mine was looking pretty sharp too, until it went completely brain dead. It lost its little electronic mind and wouldn't even restore to factory settings.

After some days of fighting it I got it back to life but I'm stuck on 4.3.2 and un-jailbroken.

    Argh!

Bricked iPhones are a pain to fix. I'm still on jailbroken 4.0.1. A friend took my 3GS at a party and jailbroke it using the website www.jailbreakme.com, then installed Cydia, then just gave it back to me. I have no idea how or what e did hahaha :) this greenpoison looks sweet, if someone will take pity on me' and direct me' to a way to put the latest Greenpoison firmware on my phone, I would be thoroughly indebted :)
