  1. So, how much could I expect to pay for one of those, and where might I find one?
  2. I have worn my ultimate PO, Ingenieur, and SFSO into AD's. Sometimes it not so much the watch, but how you wear it.
  3. Andrews buckle is not compatible with the steel bracelet. I have the part you need make me an offer. I am in U.S.
  4. yes, but just because it's a small company and we are all owners. All my customers think they are real though. Just fun to put one over on them since "buyers are liars" and all. My customers really get their money's worth from me, so I don't feel bad about it.
  5. I'd go for the Fortis, but pass on the Doxa
  6. I ordered after market bracelets for my 029, 063, and 186, and none required any bending of the stop tabs to fit. Should go pretty smoothly. There are two basic types of braclets available, not withstanding the finish (brushed vs. alternating brushed & polished). One SS pam bracelet is 24/24 and one is 24/22 like the OEM. Andrew was able to get me one that was 24/22, and it is more comfortable, more accurate, and more well made than my 24/24.

  8. I'm no expert, but I'll throw down. I don't have this watch, but have been considering it as well. I have the original model 186 Arktos GMT which is powered by the same movement with the same GMT module. THe movement is fine and for the last year has kept better time than any of my other swiss powered watches. The problems you'll see with the rep of the 089 is the wrong date font, shoddy glue ring around the cyclops, the triangle at the end of the GMT hand is too big, and the minuite marker at the 9:00 position is completely missing. That being said, the rep DOES come in a Ti case with an anthricite dial (don't know if it's real anthricite or not, but it looks good). If you get this rep, you'll be in good company because I think I am going to get one too. Bryan

  10. nevermind; i'm retarded.
  11. You're a good sport Ken; I'll have to find a reason to buy one of those suits from you now.
  12. Anytime I get bored at work, or am having a bad day, I pull this out of my favorites, and for a little while, everything is better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr8Kk6Yqveo
  13. Wuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Wawwwwwwwwwwwwww
  14. is it just me or did that guy (in addition to his camel toe) have a "butt-gina"?
  15. The white face at that particular size is a fantasy, but I like it well enough that I don' care. As for the differences, well, the titanium watch is lighter of course, which I HATE, and the over all fit and finish just wasn't there. The actual finish on the titanium we very rough compared to pics of the gen I have seen. edited to add that the face of the AMG, though terraced, is flat. The I-beam pattern on the SS model is far more appealing to me.
  16. Cornell is going to be here in Austin, TX on the 29th of this month. I plan to take my wife and am working on backstage passes.
  17. go to radioshack or Fry's and get a small electricians screwdriver set - very similar to watch repair tools. Cost $4.95. As far as the bracelet....be sure you have some sort of make shift parts trey. Also, Links slid apart more easily if you have them "bent" instead of straight. Took a few minutes to figure out, but if I can do it anyone can.
  18. Well [censored]! Some guy already posted that he bought these and that the gen tube is threaded where it goes into the case, and already slides into the existing hole. I guess this option is hosed. Any others. Can dealers possible source these newer, supposedly superior crafted crwons and tubes? post can be found here
  19. Well, this is otherwise such a nice watch, that I think the gen crown & tube mod is justifiable.
  20. I have seen and handled both; SS is the superior watch. My second one should arrive today, and I may get the white face next.
  21. yes, please post a pic or two to tide me over until mine gets here on wednesday. This will be my second one, and I'm not selling it this time.
  22. Dude, that's Boris Vallejo quaility.
  23. well, everyone says if you have a Brietling you have to have a blue faced model to capture all of it's Brietlingness, but I got the white, and it is a very sophisticated and a very Very classy. It is loud, but the good kind of loud. I will probably get the black face one this month.
