  1. A number of threads were lost following a software update of the site a while back. I just tried to locate the thread & was unable to, so I suspect this was 1 of those affected.
  2. While nice-looking, your new watch is not an accurate specimen of a genuine Comex 1665. Read this.
  3. Happy 39th Wearing my old, white 'Master
  4. Take it back. If the AD refuses to accept it, contact Rolex. Note - Those 'GELENA SHITINERAND' reps are well-known & any knowledgeable Rolex dealer should be able to ID 1 without having to open the case, which makes 1 wonder how/why an AD could have made such a mistake . Please post a good, clear macro pic of the dial.
  5. Watchtime & Watch Around
  6. These (Passion meetings) originally appear on VRF.
  7. Welcome back.........I think. Were it not for the fact that all of your (somewhat understandable) complaints are nothing new to veterans of replica watches, I might be motivated to address them (in a separate thread). But, as it is, I am glad you have re-joined the wristies with a rep that still works & hope you will continue to exercise your freedom of speech (in a more appropriate thread).
  8. C Class? Let's see the new car.
  9. Ending the last work week of 2011 wearing goldie
  10. NDT has white dials, but Natalie wants $650 for them (because they have 'special paint'). Email Natalie for details.
  11. Ditto. Also, be sure to use a screwdriver in good condition that properly fits the slot.
  12. The watch looks ok, but without a good, clear pic of the movement, it is impossible to be sure. Also, the seller has little history (& all private sales, which might mean there is something funny going on) & what he does have appears to be mostly non-Rolex watch parts like bracelet links & non-watch-related, so I would either have the watch checked out at a Rolex dealer before you pay or pay with a credit card (so you can cancel the charge if something does not check out) & take the watch right over to a Rolex dealer as soon as you pick it up. Good luck.
  13. K - I am very happy to see you back, but I wish it were under more positive circumstances. I hope your daughter recovers quickly & fully & that your fortunes begin turning on January 1st. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
  14. In addition to the aftermarket dial/handset, the crown position looks offset, which hints at the case being aftermarket as well. On the other hand, the movement (if in good, running condition) & bracelet are worth the asking price, so it might not be a bad buy.
  15. I did not artificially fade mine. It was purchased from a retired diver. If you like the insert/bezel, you should have seen the rest of his watch. I wish I could have convinced him to part with it (he was not into the faded thing at all & had a new insert installed - 1 man's trash............).
  16. I would salvage the insert & toss the rest. Measure the insert's inner/outer diameters & then you can search out another rep to use the nice insert with.
  17. Ditto Nanuq. Gen inserts can be found, but you have to be patient & willing to pay. My insert (& bezel) came from here (off a 1665)
  18. Thanks & still wearing it on Christmas day
  19. Any Rolex bracelet should fit as long as it has enough links (previous owners may have added/removed links). I use the same bracelet/ends on all of my 62xx Daytonas. The correct end links for a Daytona are very rare & I have never seen a good quality rep of them. 357s are not a perfect fit, but they work
