  1. Take it to a professional watchmaker & ask him to remove the caseback for you.
  2. As long as the watch is fitted with all the usual gen upgrades (crystal, crown/stem) & a good, reasonably accurate dial, most indy gen watchmakers (not a Rolex service center) will service it since few will be able to ID a gen-powered watch as anything other than a gen.
  3. PMWF insert (1665 & 5513 inserts are interchangable) Unless you are replacing the insert on an MBW, I would recommend that you measure you existing insert to be sure the PMWF insert will fit (there is little consistency between reps).
  4. Out with a friend & my white Newman late this afternoon
  5. The quality of aftermarket hands is poor, so I do not know if another set from another seller will guarantee better results. As is the case with parts from DW, alot of this is luck-of-the-draw. You could order another set from another seller, but I would say there is a 50/50 chance that you will end up just repairing the hands.
  6. I have unbent 3-4 of those hands. If you are careful, you can probably straighten it right on the pinion.
  7. I do not believe Yuki makes anything. He is just a seller of aftermarket goods he buys from the Asian factories.
  8. Nice, but I think your black bezel may be aftermarket.

  11. About the only thing between those is a standard Seadweller, which are ubiquitious. Check out the dealer sections.
  12. With Hike (but not hiking), ending the work week wearing 1 of my Newmans
  13. A number of threads were lost following a software update of the site a while back. I just tried to locate the thread & was unable to, so I suspect this was 1 of those affected.
  14. While nice-looking, your new watch is not an accurate specimen of a genuine Comex 1665. Read this.
  15. Happy 39th Wearing my old, white 'Master
  16. Take it back. If the AD refuses to accept it, contact Rolex. Note - Those 'GELENA SHITINERAND' reps are well-known & any knowledgeable Rolex dealer should be able to ID 1 without having to open the case, which makes 1 wonder how/why an AD could have made such a mistake . Please post a good, clear macro pic of the dial.
