  1. What I can see looks pretty good, but the same picture at 1024 pixel width would be much more useful. Contact Ziggyzumba for an overhaul. He can correct the hand positions & fit a gen T21 crystal. As mentioned previously, if the bezel is still loose with the gen crystal, you will need to replace the bezel. A folded link 7835 weighs less (as will your wallet after you buy 1 @ $250-$800), but will make the watch look alot better. I would also consider replacing the aftermarket 'Triplock' crown with a gen crown & tube (around $100+ for the pair on ebay). Those prices sound rather low for a V72 (very complicated movement), which can take a number of hours to overhaul. Again, try Ziggyzumba. The screw function locks the pusher so it cannot be used. Unscrew to press the pusher, screw back down (snug, not tight) when not in use.
  2. The crystal probably is.
  3. What I can see looks good. How does the Hev look?
  4. Usually, the bezels are too tight (& must have a thin layer of metal ground off to fit around the crystal on the case. But it sounds like either your crystal is too thin or the bezel was made too large. Since the crystals that come with DW cases are crummy, I would replace it with a gen Tropic 21. If the bezel is still loose with the gen crystal, then I would contact DW about an exchange bezel.
  5. Funny how you miss some watches, especially those that look good on your wrist (like that 1). Hope you had a good vacation.
  6. I may be purchasing a car this evening, so I am going for something non-descript (to the general public) today
  7. Ditto Alligoat.
  8. Although it seems to affect both sexes equally, the answer is simple - 'Mystery' always attracts stares (often from across the room) & generates far more compliments than any other watch I have ever owned..............& by a wide margin And no one would even dare to question this watch's authenticity.
  9. Still wearing my beater on Sunday
  10. Not yet, but working on it. Do you have 1?
  11. I wore my trusty beater to battle car salesman on Saturday 1 of my Daytonas probably would have been more fitting, but, today, in battle, heft was more important than style.
  12. Ken - Another option for the strap would be to keep the Rolex buckle, which looks good, & pick up the strap of your choice at just about any jewelers or shopping mall watch kiosk. Replace the strap's generic buckle with the Rolex buckle, fit the strap to your case & you are done.
  13. I am not comfortable with his 98.5% seller rating & there is something about his (slightly fuzzy) pics that I do not like. That said, they are probably ok, but I would keep all of your paperwork as well as any email exchanges with the seller just in case.
  14. Mind? Why? Great shots, especially this 1.
  15. Ending the work week between time zones
  16. Click here Had you spent 15 seconds to search this forum for 'pmwf', the number of posts that include this link would have buried you. Yes Yes.
  17. I do not know what 'Y' is & I believe Phong & NDtrading are selling similar cases. These are made to fit gen 1570 movements & probably the most accurate, but they are also the most expensive. MBW cases are good, but will require some grinding to get the gen movement to fit, since MBW cases are made to fit ETA movements.
  18. Wearing the GMTIIC today, but it was a nice day (Thursday) to do a double-take p.s. Mods - RWG is running even slower than usual today. Nearly 3 minutes to load this page & similar times throughout RWG (no problems on any other sites).
  19. The CWP insert is close to what the vintage insert looked like, but, with the exception of the pearl (illumines dot) which you can get from Ofrei.com, this 1 looks exactly like the insert that Rolex fits during service
  20. DW is still number 1 & all of mine work perfectly.
  21. That is the $64,000 question. Read (all of) this & then you tell me.
  22. Wearing the 1 in the middle on this humpday (Wednesday)
  23. I have never had to modify or change any of the parts in the ETA that came in a rep watch to fit another overlay. Simply remove the existing overlay (that comes with nearly every decent Rolex rep) & glue on the replacement, if that is what you are doing (swapping overlays).
  24. That is the craziest watch I have ever seen. Even the numbers on the 'Crazy Numbers' watch make sense (once you figure it out), but this is ridiculous.
  25. I copped these pics from VRF
