  1. The 16520 had running seconds at 9. I do not believe any of our collectors offer good 16520s, but I have not checked recently.
  2. I will give you enough info to begin your search for more detailed answers - The Asian-made 7750 (with the exception of the seconds at 6 version as used in modern Daytona reps), so-called Lemania (these are actually Lemania copies) & Swiss-made (as opposed to the recent Asian-made) ETAs are all good movements, which, with regular (every 5-7 years) professional servicing, should last a lifetime. Beware that the movements that come in rep watches are not serviced & often previously-owned (used), so, if it is a watch you want to keep for a long time, it is best to send it off to a rep-friendly watchmaker for a full overhaul ($100-$150 or higher depending on your geographic area & whether the movement contains worn/defective parts).
  3. Still awaiting mine & I think they made the red stripes 1 thread width too wide. But still very well done & alot closer than anything else out there.
  4. Nope, not kidding at all. Sorry.
  5. I concur with the previous comments. A truly wonderful collection. However, I would consider replacing the insert on your 5513 - it looks aftermarket.
  6. Like Diesel said: great watch, great pics, great discovery.
  7. Wearing my CHS GMTIIC Sunday night & I will probably start the work week off with it
  8. She ought to love it.
  9. Congratulations, that is a beautiful watch.
  10. I am sorry to hear the bad news, but this is a very common problem with rep watches. The movements in reps, no matter what type of movement, are, at best, unserviced and, at worst, used & on their last leg when they are installed at the rep factory. Because of this, it is always recommended to get a rep with an ETA movement & then have a professional (rep-friendly) watchmaker overhaul the watch soon after you receive it. Once properly serviced, your ETA-powered rep, like any other mechanical watch, should last a lifetime as long as you have it serviced regularly (every 5-7 years).
  11. I completed the phase 1 6542 a couple of months ago Nothing (in completed form) since then. What have you been up to? Anything new at your end? Back to my beater Friday evening
  12. Good to see you and that 'same ol' stuff', Ubi.
  13. Unfortunately, I have blown my wad for awhile.
  14. I believe this is yet another of Mr. Slimeball's nom de plumes.
  15. Ending the work week highlighted in green ('mind the dirt - alot of rain recently)
  16. Back to my beater today (Thursday)
  17. Context makes all the difference. You tell me -- gen or rep? Birds of a feather travel together, or do they?
  18. A bit of a longshot, but it might be magnetized. Take the watch to a watchmaker & have him demagnetize it (it takes a few seconds & nothing needs to be disassembled). If it still behaves erratically, the movement needs servicing or replacement.
  19. Still wearing my 116520 today But I will probably switch over to something smaller & a bit less blingy when I go out this evening
  20. 16610 bezel washer - 29-337-8 crystal washer - 29-295-2
  21. Sad, but true.
  22. I would stick with the original dial & after fitting the parts you listed, the watch should look good enough to warrant a gen bracelet (optional, of course).
  23. Sorry. When I said 'you', I meant your watchmaker (on your behalf) need to reinstall or repair the hand. My apologies.
