  1. I believe this is yet another of Mr. Slimeball's nom de plumes.
  2. Ending the work week highlighted in green ('mind the dirt - alot of rain recently)
  3. Back to my beater today (Thursday)
  4. Context makes all the difference. You tell me -- gen or rep? Birds of a feather travel together, or do they?
  5. A bit of a longshot, but it might be magnetized. Take the watch to a watchmaker & have him demagnetize it (it takes a few seconds & nothing needs to be disassembled). If it still behaves erratically, the movement needs servicing or replacement.
  6. Still wearing my 116520 today But I will probably switch over to something smaller & a bit less blingy when I go out this evening
  7. 16610 bezel washer - 29-337-8 crystal washer - 29-295-2
  8. Sad, but true.
  9. I would stick with the original dial & after fitting the parts you listed, the watch should look good enough to warrant a gen bracelet (optional, of course).
  10. Sorry. When I said 'you', I meant your watchmaker (on your behalf) need to reinstall or repair the hand. My apologies.
  11. Best to wear baggy trousers (if you want to hide that major wood).
  12. Either it arrived that way (you need to remove the hand & reinstall in the correct position) or the hand's tube (that fits onto the wheel pinion) is loose (replace or repair the hand joint with tiny speck of epoxy).
  13. Beautiful Stephane.
  14. Still wearing my 116520
  15. I agree about the lume (a bit too bright, I think), but great work on the watch. I would reduce the size of your pics though (max 1024 x 768). Even with a 5 meg cable connection, a single pic still took more than 1.5 minutes to download (too long to look at them all).
  16. RAF & they are taking orders now (if you are on their mailing list, you should have received an email last week that contained an order link).
  17. Kurt - If you can match the color of the hour marker lume, I would definitely relume the hands. I debated whether to relume the hands on my OPD, but the dial lume was much darker than yours (it matches the darkened lume in the hands), so I decided to leave it as is (also note the (proper) blued seconds hand)
  18. Some really beautiful shots today, guys. Beginning the work week still wearing my 116520
  19. It looks great with either, but which is correct (or closer to the hand that came with it)?
  20. Congratulations (assuming they are in order) & good luck with the move (make sure you keep an eye on your watches).
  21. rip - Please do not take any comments or criticisms here personally. It is just that high level reps & frankens (not to mention the occasional gen that pops up here & there) are quite commonplace here & your watch, which I suspect you have put ALOT of time & effort into, is, sadly, lacking all the things that most here have come to accept as a minimum standard. However, if you re-do your post to detail the actual operations you performed &/or the parts you installed to produce the finished watch, I think that would receive much higher praise. You might also receive specific recommendations on how to improve your watch's failings (should that be your goal).
  22. Did you try Clarks? He might have something close that will tide you over until you find an exact replacement. Took the 116520 out for a spin in the new chariot today
  23. I think that just about says it all.
  24. Either, as JoJo suggests, a Rolex service replacement dial, or aftermarket. I do not like either of the 'O's or the spacing of the 'A' in Cosmograph. Anyone else?
