  1. Nanuq - Unfortunately, it does sound like you have a rep crown, but some good, clear macros (especially, of the internal components) would be very helpful. Have you removed (unscrewed) the inner components to inspect the spring? Generally, when the crown feels like it is slipping during winding, it is because either the spring is worn (or collapsed) or the flats of the internal components have rounded - both, from what I have seen, are common problems on either aftermarket or very old gen crowns.
  2. I cannot believe it is half way through the day & no one started a wristies thread? Still have this thing clamped to my wrist
  3. Still wearing my Aryan 'Master
  4. Wore my Aryan 'Master today
  5. All in the details. Well done.
  6. Most likely the pushers, but any other seal (crystal, caseback, crown) can leak.
  7. Still wearing my beater
  8. Around midnight & still wearing my beater, so I thought I would start the Friday Wristies
  9. Any type of permanent adhesive that is plastic-safe & does not add a layer of thickness should work.
  10. When you're wearing a Daytona, who cares about the strap? I have never been a fan of women wearing men's watches, but nice job & I hope your wife appreciates your hard work.
  11. I applaud your hard work. It shows. But, with this level of sophistication, you NEED a camera with a macro feature &/or to work on your picture taking skills. These pics do little to show off details. My only real complaint about the watch is that the datewheel font looks more pink than red, which spoils the overall effect of an otherwise very competent project.
  12. They just do not make them like they used to (& should again).
  13. The end result looks super. Nicely done.
  14. Ending the work week wearing my beater
  15. Wore 1 of the DJs today
  16. I would agree with most of the previous comments, but with the result being less objectionable to my eye. Were it mine, I would have a watchmaker disassemble and sell the obviously genuine parts - movement, crown, caseback, bracelet (though it is incorrect for this case) & hands (probably genuine, but need better macro pics to be sure)). The mid-case may also be genuine, but it may be for a different model. Or, if you decide to keep it (I would) & can afford to put some money into it, source more accurate (genuine or good aftermarket) dial, mid-case & bezel/insert & have a watchmaker properly service & assemble it into a really nice vintage watch
