  1. What is with the fitment between the bracelet & end link? Couldn't you find a better fitting end link?
  2. Standard QC for reps. Personally, since no one could possibly see it without having it pointed out to them &/or without a loupe, I would not worry (or do anything) about it. There are 2 possible causes - either the crystal was not seated fully or the crystal was cut slightly uneven. But if it keeps you up at night, your options are to take it to a local, rep-friendly watchmaker & have him remove/reinstall the crystal. Or replace the rep crystal with a gen or more evenly cut rep. If you are going to spend the time/money/effort to replace the crystal, by all means, go gen (depending on your particular case, the exact gen model may or many not fit, so your watchmaker may need to do some trial-&-error fitting). They do look nicer & sparkle more.
  3. Ending the work week still wearing my JLC
  4. With respect to Newman, 62xx Daytonas never look better than when clasped to a gen bracelet.
  5. See the Watches, Clothing & Accessories section of RWG.
  6. 1500 & thank you.
  7. If you do it right, you can take great pics inside your car (these taken with 12 year-old 4MP point-&-shoot). And, sometimes, the goal is emotion more than photographic exactitude
  8. Wore my Accutron today
  9. A proper tool watch being used as a tool
  10. Replace the coronet with a gen & it should fly.
  11. Switched back to my beater today (Sunday)
  12. A local watchmaker is your best bet for small numbers of hands. That said, you might want to get a couple extras of whichever hands you need just in case.......
  13. Sounds like a browser or personal firewall issue. Try accessing from another computer &/or disable your firewall and try another web browser (eg, Firefox).

  15. Gen or aftermarket 7205.
  16. Wore my beater (again) today
  17. Were it me, I would contact the seller & ask his recommendation. Although the problem is likely simple, fixing it could be more complicated. Once you start dabbling or replacing stuff, you are effectively on your own.

  19. It has been a few years since I have researched the best Rolex reps, but Josh & Andrew used to have them. Check the dealer listings. Most likely, if neither stocks what you want, they can source it for you.
  20. Originally, the 16xx Datejust ran about $250 +/-, depending on choice of metals. For its value in today's dollars, see your local Rolex retailer.
