I have been following this thread for awhile. That's wonderful news Hambone! I got to spend a few weeks with my Dad before he passed. It was really good for both of us, setting things straight and righting wrongs. But most of all I look back on it with warm feelings now and no regrets. I thank God it was possible for me to be able to do that. Congrats on your fathers new health and thanks for the update.

I have a Yuki caseback (GW) on my MBW 1665 and it's nicer than the original MBW caseback.

Why not just get the insert? I have heard it's hit or miss using wso bezel on a different retainer..

That bezel is not designed to ever come off....just go on during manufacture. It's not genuine construction. You might talk to Bk, I think he has taken one off before.

Thanks for ideas guys Modelizer: who's Ritchie for the subdials? I also have another sweep hand coming from Z, I wonder if its a CWP hand. M: yes it's taken a long time..lol will drop you a line (I've also been reading your threads) you mentioned the seam/bend in the hour/minutes hands and that's why I bought Yuki. I noticed all of the gen dials I've looked at the subdial hands seemed whiter than the hour/ minute..no matter how old and aged. Example:

Thanks to Z I now have a 7032 and I want to improve it. I got in on the crystal T138 group buy and waiting for that. Yuki hands arrived yesterday, I use the hour, minute and orange seconds hand, but keep DW subdial hands? Also I need to paint the Yuki seconds hand a precise color? I have Mary's folded enroute and as I understand it, I'll need to play around with endlinks. What other parts are suggested? One if the glaring issues is the caseback. I emailed Phong and Yuki both. Phong's caseback is 350$ Yuki's caseback is 200$ of course I have no idea if either fit the DW. Did I read a member here can make DW's better? I've been doing 7032 searches and been reading tons, but this watch has so many ins and outs...almost like building a vintage Daytona I really look forward to improving this watch, I've wanted one forever.

Pearl paint is spot on Nanuq. I'm going to look for that paint. Diesle, Ofrei pearls are 24$ not 65$. If its the shipping killing you, order a pile if tools with the pearls http://www.ofrei.com/page_150.html Also, no matter what brand you buy get a few extra... those little pearls are like super balls and can be launched into outer space with a tiny one inch drop.

I had those guys take about 20 tiny dings out of my 350Z's doors last year..frikkin parking lot morons! Dent Doctors rock! They did a great job too...all gone.
