  1. I don't see why not. The pearls are a little dark and have patina, that isn't a problem unless your TC has rehaut engraving. I have a patina pearl in my TC and I bought the version without engraving. If your going for a new out of the box sub you will want a newer insert.
  2. Beautiful watches and pictures
  3. Yeah....since many want two
  4. Stop.... step away from the SeaDweller. Do not take the bezel off. If you want to change the insert, that's easy. Dig out the pearl, heat up the insert and pry it out from the hole. If you try to remove the actual bezel it will most likely get bent and you'll be very sorry. These are not like the gen in your video.
  5. I think you guys can hear sounds only dogs can hear! I have a lowly Yuki caseback on mine. Love the tiny watchmaker markings on the Phong! What do the Phong and MQ casebacks cost?
  6. I signed up a month ago
  7. Yep, I bought two rivet bracelets over the last few years, each with a broken midlink. Cost a fortune in time and money get those parts. At the time, I didn't know either...I thought the endlinks on these were like any other. Btw this is true also for the really old folded link too. Really look forward to seeing your 5513 progress
  8. Oh, just saw your question about endlinks. The endlinks on rivet bracelets are integral/permanent to the bracelet. It almost takes a skilled jeweler to replace them. They aren't held on like a regular endlink with a springbar, instead they use a three piece system with a "mid link" Those midlink pieces are very rare and upwards of 100$ when you find them. It's important when buying a rivet bracelet to make sure these are intact. Here's a broken midlink
  9. Diesel, The Rolex rivet bracelets with the holes are made in USA referred to as C&I. Interestingly they are just about always cheaper than the Swiss version.
  10. Congrats on your nice pickup. Gen bracelets are not all that much. For the 9315 some guys buy the watchinternational folded bracelet from Mary, and add a gen clasp and endlinks, pretty good quality. If you add a gen bezel, make sure you buy the set... including the retaining ring, not just the bezel...or you probably will have problems fitting it. I meant to tell you ebay seller "Swisstickers" usually has brand new genuine eta 2846's for 99$ shipped..several of us have bought from him. The parts hunt begins! Good luck!
  11. Yeah buddy! You did it!
  12. If your PO is V5, it just snaps on.
  13. Yep, like the noobs. I removed a bezel from one, bent it, then straightened it out in a vice. After I got it back on it barely turned. My SSD is the only watch I own now that doesn't have gen construction, I'll never remove its bezel and there's no reason to.
  14. Lol
  15. It is not gen construction. Many of these reps are made to be assembled, not taken apart. Most of that type will result in bent bezels if bezel removal is attempted.
  16. You will have to take it apart and reassemble it. It could be a few different things, but it doesn't matter, it still has to come apart.
  17. Lacquer thinner works very fast for me, I used it on my SSD also. It only takes a couple minutes, but be careful to never get that stuff near a crystal
  18. Congrats diesel!
  19. There are several types of 16610 bezel construction, different engineering..and the better ones are built like the gen's. You mention the problem began after bezel installation, are you talking about the insert....rather than the bezel? If the problem is indeed with the bezel, we will need to know what type of construction. If it's the insert, shoe glue will help.
  20. Fidhd ( spelling ) got his to fit.
  21. Are you saying you removed the bezel on your superlumed rep SeaDweller? Really?
  22. Narrika is the main dealer that sources the new ones called MBK.
  23. Guess I have been lucky. I never worried about it much. Every single watch I have had built or bought, new or used has been waterproof..at least for showers, washing hands, or swimming. Except one, a sub I bought used that the seller had done a poor job of installing a tube. I always start off checking by washing my hands...then a shower....looking for fogging. I don't dive of course and that's probably a different story.
