  1. The simple answer is the solid 18 karat gold case. Not plated, the real thing. Josh and Trusty have a few of these solid gold reps and the cost 1 to 2 K easy. The price of gold is climbing as fast as oil.
  2. When I am on vacation, I see people looking at me as if to say, "What is that geezer doing taking photos of his watch?" My family laughs at me, but it is all good. Very nice photos BTW
  3. Could be an inner ear matter that causes clumsy movement. Does the room seem like it is spinning? Benign Positional Vertigo is a very common thing and easily treated. Antivert is a mild medication that restores balance. No doubt you are not intentionally banging your watches around and it annoys you. This might be a solution.
  4. Open the case back and nudge the litttle needle to the minus. Be very careful.
  5. Opinions are like A-Holes and everyone has one. Should they not, then they are surely full of crap. Nice gesture Newdoc, but no need to apologize to this bunch in here. Your viewpoint is welcome.
  6. The disclaimer on the dealers website states that these replica watches "Are meant for novelty purposes only". Indeed, they are novelties, and by and large, they are fairly well made copies of the real thing. The genuine GMT is around 9K in US dollars and the rep is 388.00 Most Rolex reps are a couple hundred bucks, but this one has a ceramic bezel. That feature drives the price up as ceramic watch making is quite costly. Again, the rep watches we buy are not bad at all for the prices, if those who want to pee and moan about every tiny detail, then buy the genuine, otherwise taking this hobby so seriously defeats the purpose.
  7. I am most curious about this. The film by Gert Wilders of the Netherlands is certainly a difficult film for muslims as it has clearly shown the extreme radical nature of unstoppable murder of innocents by these so called religious fanatics who commit the most cowardly and dastardly crimes in the name of their "Allah". Why was Dani's post closed? This is the off topic part of the forum where long time members who have developed relationships with other members share their views of current events. Is the staff of RWG afraid of muslim backlash? I wonder because it seems like pretty much any thing else goes around here. The percentage of muslim members is quite small on this board and yet when someone brings up this current topic they are censored..
  8. I am an accurate Yacht Master. Have not run into the dock for years now. Almost sank crossing the Molokai Channel once however.
  9. Please pass the grilled poodle.....*burp*
  10. I have to agree with this 100%
  11. Nothing trivial about the ukelele. This instrument is the voice of Hawaii, and that guy Jake is one hell of a uke master. George Harrison, who owned a home in Maui , Hawaii for years loved the islands and would have been thrilled to hear Jake honor his music as he has. No doubt George's buddy Eric Clapton has heard about this guy as he played on the album version of the song with George. Mahalo Pug.
  12. The Graham Chronofighter oversize is indeed one of the best out of box reps. It is very accurate and quite an incredible watch. I am as pleased with the quality of this rep as with the HBB ceramic bezel rose gold. Also tried the several of the gens on and it reinforced my decision.
  13. This trio of bucktooth hound dogs from Virginia, are all thinking at the same time....."You shore got a purdy mouth" The object of their affection remains a mystery.
  14. As a kid growing up in Hawaii, people would always say don't get a black dog becuase the Filipino folks like to eat them the most and capture them from yards for barbeque. It's true. Just last month two Filipino gardeners at a Country Club golf course in Honolulu were charged with stealing a members dog, (black) who he had left in the care of the CC staff, and these guys stole, cooked and ate him. They were caught, fired and jailed of course, but something about black dogs has always given me pause to protect them from wayward diners. BTW, I have a white lab/ bull terrier mix, who is a lovely dog. I have owned, a bassett hound (great dog), collie, and shepard collie mix, her name was Kanani and a real sweetheart. Dogs are without a doubt a mans best friend. "burp", jking..
  15. A guy who cannot even pony up a couple of bucks to support a website where it would seem he spends half his life at should not really cast stones at hard working business people who do their best to provide good merchandise and service. Shame on the cheap and narrow minded.
  16. Two years ago I bought this exact watch from Andrew and it works beautifully. It is the "G' movement painted dial, and has been one of the favorites in my collection. I spoke to a guy who was wearing the gen 111G last week and we compared, he liked my steel bracelet more than his leather strap, and these two watches looked pretty identical. As there is something wrong with yours, perhaps the quick method is a watchsmith. The movement is a good one and somethimes they malfunction, like any mechanical device. Good luck.
  17. Thanks Rodwc, China sure is an amazing place to visit. Sounds like you also had a memorable experience.
  18. Today and perhaps the next couple of days it is the Graham Chronofighter Oversize. Very pleased with this new toy.
  19. Tina it would appear is a formidable weapon. She could crush a man easily that even looked at her the wrong way.
  20. The only Davidsen watch I have purchased is his one of his "Ultimate Fiddys" The 'H' movement it came with is inaccurate and only available in the 217, not the 127. This is a glaring error and to promote it as ultimate is misleading to be sure. The fact that the watch ran 10 minutes fast per day and stopped dead, every few days only to be brought back to life with a 'whack' is a further distortion of the 'ultimate' claim. Having spent an additional 250.00 to correct the malfunctions on this 'ultimate fiddy'for a watchsmith to make it right, coupled with the fact that I have read dozens of disgruntled buyers of Davidsens Panerai replicas relating to QC issues, makes me steer away completely from ever buying another watch from him. He charges a premium price for reps and the ratio of watches that have malfunctions from what I have seen, is not acceptable.
  21. Wearing my 232 more often. The USPS tried to deliver my Graham today, ...to the wrong zip code. Hopefully I can pick it up.
