  1. Is that so? The Darwins were my only point of reference. Where did you gleam your info from?
  2. The Tuiga HBB is the same as the RG HBB with the exception of the Tuiga yacht club logo on the second hand at 9 oclock and the ceramic bezel is brushed rather than polished. It is a stunning watch and if you buy it....you will be a happy camper.
  3. The Darwin awards are issued to people who expire from this world in a fashion that can be ridiculous, inventive or just outrageous. This guy certainly qualified... (21 May 2004, Texas) Michael was an alcoholic. And not an ordinary alcoholic, but an alcoholic who liked to take his liquor... well, rectally. His wife said he was "addicted to enemas" and often used alcohol in this manner. The result was the same: inebriation. The machine shop owner couldn't imbibe alcohol by mouth due to a painful throat ailment, so he elected to receive his favourite beverage via enema. And tonight, Michael was in for one hell of a party. Two 1.5 litre bottles of sherry, more than 100 fluid ounces, right up the old address! When the rest of us have had enough, we either stop drinking or pass out. When Michael had had enough (and subsequently passed out) the alcohol remaining in his rectal cavity continued to be absorbed. The next morning, Michael was dead. The 58-year-old did a pretty good job of embalming himself. According to toxicology reports, his blood alcohol level was 0.47%. In order to qualify for a Darwin Award, a person must remove himself from the gene pool via an "astounding misapplication of judgment." Three litres of sherry up the butt can only be described as astounding. Unsurprisingly, his neighbors said they were surprised to learn of the incident.
  4. Watchsmith or send it back to the dealer unless you are adept at micro surgery. Best ask The Zigmeister for his opinion then.
  5. Have a hap-hap-hap happiest, snappiest New Year!
  6. If you try and set the date between 10 and 2 on many of the 7750 models, the clutch will not engage, and it can possibly damage the movement.
  7. Did anyone say it was your dooty to post poop in this short thread?? Photos of feces surely must mean the end of the line.
  8. This one takes it for sure. BTW congrats to WP on your new HBB, you are going to love it.
  9. Upkeep is important with faux diamonds. the real deal keep their luster in a mud bath, but dirt and dust cling to cubic zirconia etc, big time, so if you use a jewelry cleaner on the faux diamonds you stand a chance of the brilliant glow, however be cautious and use a small paint brush or Q tip as the cleaner may remove gold plating.
  10. Here is my wristcheck contribution, no hand eating alligators, but my dog, Hoku, (Lanikai knows the translation) and the same old HBB in both working and casual. Happy New Year to all of you knuckleheads!! Hoku is a white lab/bull terrier and she is a real sweetheart.
  11. Get the 231. Very nice watch and you will love it. Trusty has it with the swiss 6497 and sapphire crystal also., but the other way is ok as well.
  12. It sounds like you have found what you are looking for already. Seems like you want a gen and going to paneristi, they offer 111H gens there all the time. Having a gen coated with PVD is maybe a little unusual, but go for it. Otherwise you can get a very fine 111 rep with a decent 6497 from Davidsen and it is even a PVD, saving you the run around. Good luck either way.
  13. What a marvelous concept. Thanks for posting this, I am going to help out a couple of needy entrepenuers, in the hope that my contribution will help some hardworking soul make it in this world.
  14. Nice pics and a great price for a 127. Do be careful with the mineral crystal glass, they have a certain issue with many 127 owners, but you can be secure knowing that the glass can be replaced with sapphire anytime. Enjoy your fiddy!
  15. Congrats TK, if you did not know this was coming, then it must have been a great surprise. Enjoy !
  16. Wristcheck? A little too close of a check you might say... BTW....This is a real photo. A veterinarian in Asia was asking this gator if he recognized the watch strap, and it seems it was a close relative, hence the snappy answer.
  17. That AP is one interesting watch. It looks as if it were carved out of stone. Actually it is the worlds first carbon fiber case. Very unique and trend setting. Here is a bit more.. In redefining the face of luxury, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team blows our minds as the world?s first true carbon fiber cased wristwatch. ?Audacity? has always been one of the core values of Audemars Piguet, the Le Brassus based manufacture that has come to possess almost total dominion over the arena of watchmaking characterized by a merger between traditional haute de gamme values and path blazing aesthetic alchemy. It was, after all, Audemars Piguet that created our generation?s most sought after and iconic sports watch, the Royal Oak Offshore. New for 2007 is the Alinghi Team that demonstrates how this timepiece has become AP?s showcase for new technology by boasting the world?s first-ever true carbon fiber cased watch. The ?Offshore?, as it is known to its ranks of collectors, had an uncertain past before emerging to rule the sports watch world.
  18. That does it for me. I am placing a certain woman poster on ignore. This is not meant in anyway to be an attack, I simply cannot look at those hands any longer.
  19. I am getting seriously bored of all the 775x based reps coming out lately... Ravishing Rick ... with apologies to Ratchpot. Personally, I am thrilled to the point of hysteria.
  20. The Ceramic Radiomir is a watch I would love to see made into a rep. I am told that it is in the works, although it may be pricey. Ceramic watches are an expensive endeavor.
  21. Wow, thats a whole bunch of scamming mofos out there. We know they exist as many of us have been victimized by these hooligans prior to finding this place. You forgot to mention though... www.handjobsforwatchbucks.com www.snatchwatchwatchsnatch.com
  22. The Flying Luxury Hotel Tomorrow's cruise ship will sail through the air, not the water LIFTOFF! On a pressurized plane, windows like these would explode outward . The Aeroscraft does not fly high enough to need pressurization. This is not a Blimp. It's a sort of flying Queen Mary 2 that could change the way you think about air travel. It's the Aeroscraft, and when it's completed, it will ferry pampered passengers across continents and oceans as they stroll leisurely about the one-acre cabin or relax in their well-appointed staterooms. Unlike its dirigible ancestors, the Aeroscraft is not lighter than air. Its 14 million cubic feet of helium hoist only two thirds of the craft's weight. The rigid and surprisingly aerodynamic body
