Looks gen to me. The reps had a less defined case back. I would still have it checked, people do put gen parts on rep watches.

No, ND Trading is not in business. I called them a couple years ago since they wouldn't answer my emails. The lady that answered said they don't sell any more. I wonder why they still have their website up?

It looks photoshopped to me. Ask him to send you another picture of it with the watch set to a specific time and date.

Someone else will need to confirm, but I think all the gen spec Rolex dials have their date windows at the same distance from the dial center. Some of the non-spec dials have their date window closer to the center of the watch. The demand for a date overlay for a non-spec dial probably isn't that great.

I'd like to add to this wish list, even though it has nothing to do with these early subs. Can you make an open 6&9 date wheel overlay? Maybe one withe round 3's and one with flat 3's and have the numbers progress in the direction of an ETA movement? I think there would be a demand for these.

Would using silicone grease at the base of the lip provide a barrier against moisture and oxygen getting in and creating more corrosion?
