  1. I think JoeyB might be the one to help you with an insert and possibly a bezel

  4. Nice! Are you going to bid on it?
  5. Agree, definitely not genuine. Engraving is wrong, coronet is wrong, subdial hands are too thick. https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/big-red-daytona-6263--id8024932.htm#gref
  6. mymanmatt sells a 3135 clone movement.
  7. Very Nice! What movement did you use? What was the case that you started with?
  8. Thank you. So the V72 movement dials are in compatible with the El Primero?
  9. Interesting article about the El Primero movement and the man who was supposed to destroy the tooling. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/charles-vermot-the-man-who-saved-the-el-primero-and-possibly-zenith In the article it says Rolex used the El Primero to replace the Valjoux 72 in the Daytona and that it needed no alterations to fit in the case. I was wondering if the chronograph dials on the El Primero in the same location as the V72? Is it possible to build a 6263 and use an El Primero movement?
  10. By popular demand... https://www.g-central.com/pure-gold-g-shock-for-sale-in-2019/
  11. Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I thought this was gen and you were talking of modding it as if were a rep
  12. "coming soon with some light mod: i think switch to 2846 low beat, shorten the lug , add some scratch on the case and faded the bezel." Hahahahahaha!
  13. In the past, Watch Material used to have the best pearls for the 16610. I haven't bought any in years, but they still may be the best. https://www.watchmaterial.com/luminous-sapphire-pearl-for-rolex-submariner-gmt/ Bob.
  14. I emailed Ruby for a login password and got a response in a couple hours. But, it went to my spam folder. You might check and see if your password went to your spam. If not, let me know and I'll send you the one sent to me. Bob.
  15. Auction title; Parts for restoration or homage project Rolex Submariner 5512 5513 military 5517 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Parts-for-restoration-or-homage-project-Rolex-Submariner-5512-5513-military-5517/293010495343?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Is anything there worth what it's been bid up to?
  16. Same problem as swdivad. If a topic has more than one page, I cannot click to the next page. If I do, the next page will only display the header and "loading" at the bottom. To display the next page, I have to go back to the topic listing and click on the page directly.
  17. You might be able to find a pusher here: http://www.ofrei.com/page989.html

  19. No. The TC crystal retainer has a larger outer diameter than a genuine crystal retainer. I had to machine the TC crystal retainer on a lathe to get a genuine bezel to fit and it was a pain in the neck. Maybe one of the aftermarket crystal retainers on ebay are gen spec and can be used with a gen bezel?
  20. Someone on RWG had posted a different way of installing the tube that didn't reqire epoxy. They had pressed a sleeve in the watch case and then tapped the hole to fit the gen tube. Maybe your watchsmith has access to a jewelers lathe and can machine you a sleeve.
  21. It won't work if you are swapping just the outer bezel ring and insert. The TC crystal retainer, the part that the outer bezel snaps onto, has a larger outer diameter than a genuine crystal retainer. If you want to change the entire bezel assembly, including the crystal retainer, then it will work.
  22. The best way to go is to get the entire bezel assembly, that way you know all the pieces are compatible. Gary at nostalgia-2000 on ebay, has a nice bezel assembly. It looks like gen, but it does not use a friction washer like gen. It is reasonably priced at $40-$50. I checked and he currently doesn't have one on ebay. The TC crystal retainer does not fit a gen bezel, the outer diameter is too big.
