  1. Welcome Viktor! Feel free to ask a fellow countryman here if there's anything troubling you. Make sure your PayPal account is loaded btw, you're gonna need it
  2. Actually think you're wrong here mate, at least afaik. I have a 5218-209 cb from Jakob that I can highly recommend! Really old info from UncleJay: "I don't know where the info on these two watches has come from lately, but it's inaccurate. The 209 and 210 are hybrids of the Pre-V and Pre-A watches. The 209 (12 pcs produced) used a Pre-A SS case with a Pre-V 201/A Logo dial while the 210 (2 pieces produced #'s 54 and 55) used a Pre-A PVD case with a 203/A dial. Neither watch used the /A on the case back because Panerai thought it would be confused with the upcoming A series watches. BTW, Pre-Vendome dials had no "T" markings (only exceptions were the Mare Nostrum). Pre-A had T-SWISS-T markings, while A and B series had T SWISS T. The 210 we see now is an orange dialed PVD Base model that was a Prototype, really produced as an attempt with dial colors. Pre-Vendome: Case: Pre-V Hands: Pre-V Movement: Pre-V Strap: Pre-V 5218-209 and 5219-210: Case: Pre-A Hands: Pre-V Movement: Pre-V Strap: Pre-A Pre-A: Case: Pre-A OP6500 Hands: Tritium Movement: OP II Strap: Pre-A"
  3. Very envious here mate, congrats to that! Is the bezel made of a different alloy than rest of the case?
  4. Looks really good on you! Plexi change was a good upgrade. Nice to hear about your movement swaps btw
  5. Amazing work! Guys like you and marlin really raise the bar for our hobby!
  6. Great photography skills!
  7. Text copy-pasted regarding 5514 casebacks: "1. The early watches had Rolex COMEX across the caseback 2. The later watches had large numbers with Rolex Comex around the caseback Finally to make it more confusing. The COMEX Serial numbers came in about three sizes, small, medium and large." Lots of pics to describe variations, would vote for category 1) if you're doing a non logo dial build:
  8. Pardon me still being kind of newbie on 5514s, but do you guys mean that the one in the OP link (Chrono24) is fake / has a replaced dial? Should a non logo 5514 always be depth-on-top?
  9. Gen print shots of mk2 and then 4: So guess yours would fall into mk2?
  10. For a pre comex build I'd say you're better off using a mkI or mkII dial. Note the centered = under the A on the gen vs the slightly off center on the mkIV.
  11. Kind of guessed that... Looks incredible
  12. Cubeistan - what cg do you have on that pretty 201/a?
  13. When I explained to my girlfriend about RWG after a couple of months usage she was actually really relieved - "Oh, I suspected you had become a drug addict or something even worse". I quickly told her "I wish!"
  14. Great looking build mate! That dial is nothing short of fantastic. I'd agree that getting a nice pvd case would be the way to go though. Nice to see you're on a building spree btw
  15. Looks amazing! Also looking forward to pre-v dials from these guys.
  16. Absolutely stunning 6538! The dial and the insert sure matches perfectly
  17. Same advice as always - hear with Concepta, he'a EU based. You might just end up lucky!
  18. Haha, great great work! If your inbox hadn't been full, you would have a begging PM from me...
