It has for sure a gen dial on it. The bezel looks like a replacement. The band for sure is aftermarket. Most of these were sold without a band...sold on a nato style strap.
Someone got a good deal on this one. This is the lowest price for a 7031 or 7032 I have seen in about 4 years. It is funny that the appraisal only states about $8k!
Just your basis aftermarket rolex style case in gold. There are many companies that make these in gold with non rolex dials in them. They usually use a 2836 ETA or you can also opt for a gen rolex movement too. The guy that sells the solid gold oyster cases on ebay also has these if you ask him.
Looks good! I do think that you would have a better chance of finding a gen Rolex in Chinatown vs. a gen swiss ETA 2892 in a rep sold in Chinatown.
Let's see that "swiss" eta inside!
Yes, this has been discussed before. It is just a clone eta movement with some poor markings on it. Why they go to all the trouble to engrave a clone movement with 3135 on it is beyond me. Why don't they just make a copy of the real 3135?????
I don't know who started this B.S. but there is no greater risk in Texas than anywhere else in the US. Customs is not in Dallas. The packages are either check via San Fransisco or JFK in New York.
I have been collecting for over 20 years and live in Texas and NEVER had a problem!
Yes, I have one and it is 7031/0 or 7032/0. The aftermarket dials are the only problem with this model. The base ball markers are to far away from the edge. Make sure to get a gen 7734 movement and not a poljot movement too.
The gen cornet is actually burned into the middle of the crystal and not of top of the crystal like the reps are. That is why they are hard to see unless you are really looking for them. Rolex uses a special laser to burn it into the middle of the crystal.
I would just go for one with the correct mag w/o the cornet.
I would just take it to your local watch repair place and have it repaired. Then you have a serviced watch with a local warranty. It might cost you a little more, but then you have a good running watch.
The ladies PearlMaster is a great watch. The one D4me reviewed was actually my watch that I purchased for my wife. The band on the PearlMaster is all polished. The jubilee has only a polished center and is of a different design. If you are looking for a nice looking ladies Rolex I would suggest getting a mop dial with the jubilee bracelet. They are a little easier to size and not a fragile as the PearlMaster. Contact D4me via pm and he can get you one too. The date font on the newer ones are great and look just like gen.
Didn't mean to be some judgemental, but it is not a good copy at all. They look like the cheap china cases with the tudor engravings done afterwards. The engravings on the lugs are done via laser and not the proper hard engraving.
