  1. Guys, I know the deal, I'm talking about a super rep the phong 6265 Daytona with gen parts exact engravings and same movement as in the gen. 5500-6000$ rep. I'm not trying to show off, I wouldn't have handed a rep to a Rolex ad's watchsmith otherwise. He could have been "being nice" but I'm pretty good at reading people and knowing the diff. Anyways I guess maybe the moral of the story is that even an ad won't call you out even if they know.

Started life as the dw gold 6263, ended as an ss 6265 same case just swapped for a 6265 bezel.

No I actually got it as a gold plated version, I took it apart and removed all the gold plating, then put it back together. I could have left any parts I wanted in gold but I thought it would look cleaner like this. I love the project x no crown guard sub its really cool.
  4. You sound like a well spoken person, its a shame as redwatch mentioned that you weren't more upfront about why you wanted the box and papers so urgently. Hope the show goes well, gl

Sent it off to spinmaster to get it serviced, and he will redo the black print on my bezel. I can't sell it, I'm really in love with it but you can take a gold dial and put it in an ss case, basically what I did. A few of my friends have expressed interest in having one also,, maybe ill ask David to send me a few gold dials.
  6. What did you think people were going to think about this? You didn't explain anything, just came off sounding like a guy who needed help to rip someone off. You aren't an old member either, so nobody knows you. Did you think the members here would be able to know what your intentions were? And there is no reasonable reason why you would urgently need a box and papers even after hearing your explanation.
  7. Just got back from chateau d'Ivoire in montreal to remove a link from my 19mm rivet band and put it on my phong v727 vintage daytona. I was wearing it with the oyster band. Ive never done this before but I figured hey why not, his reps are spot on so I wasn't too worried. After removing the link the watchmaker asked me for the watch to put the rivet band on. I was nervous but handed it over. I could tell he was checking it out and even took time to inspect between the lugs as he swapped bands.. He was going on and on about old daytonas and said you have a very rare dial, referring to the pn dial. I felt so good, he gave it back and never for a second thought it was a rep. With phong he could have even oppened it and not realized... I've never been called out but I used to own many gen's so it was a smooth transition
  8. Finhs, the watch is on its way to you. You can sell it when you receive it and give the $ to any charity you like...

  10. Why not go for a nice vintage instead, for 1000$ spinmaster can build you one with gen parts. No issue with movement for the older ones as they had the seconds at 9.
  11. You should be embarrassed finhs, stop while you're ahead, the watch is on its way to you, working. Just say sorry and move on.

    Thanks, Im really enjoying it
  13. Photos are a bit deceiving, especially with this watch. The green can look 10 diff shades in 10 pictures. If I wanted to I could snap 10 shots of it, compare the photos to the gen and only show you the one or ones that look closest. I have seen it in person and it doesn't really hit the mark unfortunately.

Send a message to fab1973 he has one he can recommend in France... Other members might know f one as well but he's the only one I know of at the moment.
  15. Nobody? I just need to know which model this belongs on..
  16. The one from page one, last pic.
  17. That pic of the bike, in Cuba I'm assuming, is a masterpiece, I love it.

    Rolex 6263

Yonatan, I'm 90% sure everything is ok but like Freddy told me you have to get the movement serviced right away. It will cost you approximately 300$. The movements seem to come dry and probably dirty. Any respectable watchsmith who has experience with older movements can disassemble your v727 clean it, oil it and put it back together. Don't bring it to a Rolex associated shop. The parts are all there it shouldn't be a problem and even if there are small problems inside a competent watchsmith can always bang out a new part, literally.
