  1. Let's ask this question: Why would somebody buy a real rolex? What's the bonus, ya gona dive 200m with it? Feel less guilty when telling somebody you paid shed loads of money for it? Have it for a lifetime and never needing/wanting another watch? O yeah... To have a floweless looking piece, coz all reps have noticeable problems, right? What, the crown guards, bazel insert, what? Naaa, can't be that, so what? ...I cann't see a reason why would somobody buy a genuine Rolex, absolutely none whatsoever. I personally don't like the brand, would never wear it even if I get if for free, but if I liked it, I would only buy reps. It is the most overpriced brand around, rip-off par excellance!
  2. When the f..k will that AP ROO finally get out, people seem to be getting bored on the board...or [censored], or both... we need something new!!!
  3. That is an excessive purist view -- the flyback function is probably the most useless complication ever invented, I would not give a penny more for a genuine chrono with flyback re-set function then for an ordinary double-push one, regretably some of the nice models like 253 and 212 are flybacks as genuine, hence OK, the non-functional flyback reps are not functionally accurate, but out of all possible things, this would be the last one on my list
  4. Hmm, the gap in the bracelet is much smaller, but still not gone...
  5. It doesn't have the back-case opener, naaa, too few functions...
  6. Great job on the watch, you might need bigger wrist to wear it but a nice piece indeed
  7. Wellcome Angus, great to have you here, I won't have to switch over to TRC all the time to check when will the AP chrono see the light of a day, we'll love to get some pics and updates here
  8. ...Ok I just noticed, why is this idiot puting 20mm straps on 22 lugs in ths pics, is he stupid or what?
  9. What, the gen is far more expensive that $130, about three times that...but OK, these fake ones look very good to me, are you saying they are total crap, look much better then the [censored] that comes with reps from our dealers

Chee, is this becoming a trend? Spotting false-fake Omegas on the bay...
  11. The small one was the ugliest Patek I ever saw...this was is the jumbo ugly version, fugly
  12. Apparently there is a good reason why real dive watches tend to be huge, tick and very expensive, the only afordable brand with serious pro-diver's reputation is Seiko, I use it for diving and would never use anything else; though a £5000 PAM diver would do the job, but I would have better use for the £5000... The diver's 200m Seiko's are very solid, one can have a new 007 for about $120, so there is no reason for washing your Petek from the inside ha?
  13. yeah, but Ti CA was also hard to find, even that would be a good sign of some re-production effort
  14. the girls will find you more attractive is a common answer when no other is available, though it might be hard to apply it to a movement (perhaps EL can make an argument here...). I personally cannot understand why is 187 so good, the markets on the basel are likely to fell out in a week...
  15. ...bad news (for us in UK), the guy for some reason does not do business with UK customers...
  16. Now, we don't have a Seiko section, perhaps we should, how ya like this baby? Seiko
  17. Looks like mineral christal version, can't read the number of the case well, but I'd say mineral. He could at least have the pin fixed and replace the crap rep strap, but no, what did he do, selling it out of the box as it arrived from womart or silix.
  18. Natwest I suppose just kidding. Naa, they do actually. Try using your card for several large purchases in a same day, so something you never did before, and bring the mobile if you have it regiestered with the bank, expect a call, or be prepared you card might get blocked. It happened to me when I was moving home and buying loads of furniture, large purchases across few days, once they called me on the phone from the fraud dpt. to check if this is me buying all this stuff or I got mugged or something, second time my card got blocked and the chashier handed me the phone to confirm my details and confirm everything is Ok with my CC; first one was HSBC, second was Barclaycard -- if you don't believe me go buy few gen watches, all in one day and wait to see what happens.
  19. It actually was her business...
  20. I completely agree with this. Use a good credit card with "internet guarantee", and charge back any funds that got frozen. Even if you don't have any special guarntee for www shopping, it will do; once you claim your money back (do as a.s.a.p. is possible), the money is returned almost instantly to your CC and then the bank gets on their neck asking for a proof that goods have been delivered for your purchase, else they have no chance or getting a penny out of you. No wonder fishy sites don't take credit cards.
  21. So much unlike fake watches, which for some reason often tend to be too fast...I suppose regulating memory card would be bit more involved then regulating an asian 21J fake watch
  22. Well to answer the original question, I think they could indeed, I am still waiting for the ETA version, this is incredibly beautiful watch, I am on the edge of spending £3000 for the gen, if they can fit a good movement in this baby no doubt folks would pay the price, in my mind this can be a much better chrono then 196/188 or 212/253 which came out with ETA movements long time ago...the date window depth can be improved with the new movement too I would hope.
  23. Hell with the crown, is that pin non-recessed or I had too much beer today?
  24. He could at least use the newest generation with correct print on the back case... Current bid $45, well it's a good price for this watch
  25. I am taking five tonigh, going to buy a lovely Seiko diver, all our regular dealers will lose that one
