  1. brilliant, not April 1 yet in Europe/US but spot on
  2. yeah, but these 20 minutes rocked!
  3. Ughh, now I am getting steel bumppers for my Jeep, the wife is practicing on probationary license...
  4. What about the AP ROO's George was moving over at TRC?
  5. As far as I can see, the Russian movements are the lower-end of those watches, the more expensive have ETA movments, the quality might be bit better then Chinese ETA movments, or perhaps not. The prices are reasonable, though could be lower. Few of those look good, but not that good. Here is link: http://www.vostok-watches.com/
  6. well, it does say it is orginal, I never saw this crap strap before...
  7. Hey you American guys rock, we need bit more of hardline judges in UK
  8. Great watch, I got one of those from Andrew too, it does not leave my wrist
  9. Sure, what music would you like in the background?
  10. I find 45 decent size, certainly not too big, while 42 is bit too small, here are couple of wrist shots of my 45 PO:
  11. Its the one Angus is selling. Seconds running at 9 on minutes dial -- mag was decent though, but this watch was around for some time now
  12. 6'7", 295lbs, 35" waist, though shoes only 12, wrist only 8", hard to find shirts for some reason when I get over 250lbs...else is fine, plenty of space for me in my Jeep
  13. Odd case indeed, don't see why using Eddie's case when Davidsen's case is all right (http://www.replicacollector.com/members/The-Ultimate-Fiddy-t28823.html). That movment is not from a rep or I was away from the boards too long
  14. Where is Finepics? Hopefully in a pub where all reasonable people are at the time of a day ... I should go to
  15. Breitling is making diving watches? Really? I was wondering what those big ugly things are made for...
  16. I can mostly just look at the pics http://www.rruegger.ch
  17. Who killed Kennedy?
  18. I can do the standard Swiss test can you also send me a Swiss Army knife?
  19. I used to wear a sub rep day in and day out, did work around the house with it and it lasted about 6 months, then everything started to fall off, bazel, dial markers, you name it, I would glue one market back, close the watch and then notice another one fall off, so I learned the hard way there is a difference btween that thing and a Seiko... These days I am careful with my 42 and 45 PO's I wear them only for special occassions (special == low impact, no sports, no working around the car and stuff), and I never got another Sub, got so frustrated with the one that fall apart However, there seem to be an exceptional model, the Seawolf rep, I have the brushed SS version from Josh, and tend to wear it for anything but deep-sea diving... this thing is built like a tank, nothing to fall off from the dial, bazel is strongly build and if it get scratched, just brush it with fine sand paper -- crystal is sappire hence scratch-proof and I normally wear it on a strap, this is one rep that can be taken to war
  20. So you are going on smaller and smaller women? Or you can achieve it by other means?
  21. Now, that would be lucky Chee if this thing pops up in my dream I would wake up screeming
  22. I allways knew it -- PAMs are baby watches
  23. Ugh, now that would look odd
  24. The movement in the pics is from an Asian 7750, but Swiss 7750 used in 253 would do here. This is what they have (Asian 7750, no ETA markings, missing regulator): This is the Swiss (ETA) used in 253, to me this movement looks good enough, though rotor fonts are bit off: The movments are hence there, clearly we have the good case with sapphire with tick crown guard, again this is used in the Swiss 253, what we miss is a really good dial, now this comes pretty close doesn't it?
  25. I tend to agree with this, the balance weal that comes with original ETA is different from the one Panarei bespokes for their watches, and which Chinese have copied, hence when I see the Panarei-style balance, I doubth this is real ETA, the pretty "top" Fiddy movements that attract high prices at our dealers are likely to have Asian copy movments, SN regular, correct balance -- likely to be total Asian rather then enhanced ETA
