  1. So nobody knows? Wheres' Toro when you need him? How about you Reg, do you know where they come from?
  2. That's a beauty! If it were me I'd get her serviced and throw it on a nice strap and wear it! The ole' "canteen cap crown" The best way to water proof the leaky crown back in the day.
  3. Sounds like it very well could be, what are the serial numbers on the PO? We know they have excellent lume on the PO.
  4. I'm very curious to find out where all the new superlumed Rolex models are coming from. I think they are ALL coming from the same factory because they all have the "new" superlume and all have the same serial numbers.... M832118.... I personally have a few of the new Sea Dwellers (3) and one of the new SL'd Explorer II 40mm that all have the "M' serial. So what do you fellas think? Is it H-Factory? Do they come from the same factory as the superlumed Paneria models? Thoughts....
  5. IMO, you got the parts at pretty good prices and the "thrill of the build" would be worth more than an old used gen in my book! Congrats!
  6. Don't the Asian 2836 accept gen ETA parts? I know I've sent 2 for repair to Gary (Katt) and they were both Asian 2836 and he replaced the broken gears, jewels, etc, with ETA parts.... They both have run excellent ever since at + 3 to 6 seconds a day respectively. One has been running for almost a year and the other 2 1/2 months so far.
  7. Agreed, lets find a pro hacker! I'd pony up some cash to get the f--ker destroyed!
  8. Good god this guy needs his A$$ stomped! So he sends a crappy faulty watch and you, the buyer, as for a repair or replace and he basically says NO. You then proceed to reverse the charges and he slanders you with "scammer" and child porn accusations..... He must be killed.......
  9. Is this for real?? Did this Henry guy really pull this [censored]? If so, although the noob was wrong with the CC dispute this is TOTALLY unacceptable.....If it's true...
  10. Wow, nice pictures! The no-date sub and Tudor are looking GOOD!
  11. BIG Halios fan here! I've owned every style of watch Jason Lim from Halios has ever made! I'm on the hunt right now for his new "Puck". They all sold out fast and I missed them. He usually emaile all his previous customers and gives them first dibs on his newest models before offering them to the masses, this time he didn't do it and myself and a bunch of other previous Halios owners were pretty [censored] that we never had a chance to get one in the first run... About the Laguna... I had one but flipped it, it a nice watch but too nice for me to wear to work and beat the hell outta of it! The lume was decent but nothing like the Bluering's C3. It acts more like C1, maybe it's just the thin application? The internal bezel was awesome, operated by a non-clicking, non screw down crown and still water resistant to 500 meters! I will probably buy another one someday because it is a super nice watch!
  12. Not as bad of a price as I thought, when I see anything that has "No price" email for current prices. I take that to mean way too much!! HaHa But these are not bad for the money.
  13. Lookin' GOOD! Get it! The crystal has the correct bevel, almost straight up. The rep crystals are all beveled at too much of an angle.
  14. Is this the 5513 with gen construction bezel? I thought is only available with the higher priced Asian/swiss movement? I see this one also has the better pearl on the insert not the crappy little flat "dot" like they have on the cheap 21j 5513's at Puretime. (the one I foolishly bought!)
  15. Looks superb, lug holes and all! I wish you luck getting it!
  16. Going with a 16600 will save you some cash, the triple 6 commands a higher price. I've seen some go for upwards of $10k!
  17. What does Yuki charge for these?
  18. Typical rep lume lasts about 20 seconds!! Ha Ha No I'm kidding, the reps I have are decent lasting a couple of hours tops. The newer superlumed models I have (Sea Dweller) is really really good much better than the DSSD I used to have! It will last all night easily. It's not as bright as my gens after 6-8hrs but I can still read the time with dark adapted eyes. My gens, Deep Blue, Omega PO, Seiko, Citizen, etc. are all much better but they have superluminova or Lumibrite (Seiko)
  19. Do you have the original crystal? I had the same problem, I cracked my crystal and ordered 3 different replacements. They all fit the watch but none of the cyclops will line up correctly, they are all too far to the right and look like crap. So I have an awesome coke bezelled GMT vintage with a cracked crystal I haven't worn in over 4 months.....
  20. Be prepared to wait a long time to get your watch.
  21. Simple answer, no. You can get a better service from a local watchmaker for around the same price and know for sure that you're actually getting the service for your money! Most of these dealers are drop shippers anyway and never touch or see your watch, they are taking the factories word. A Chinese rep factory's word that it's done.
  22. Thank you sir! I'm just a little grouchy, I just woke up. Working graveyards for the last few months makes me a not so likeable person! (so my family says! HaHa)
  23. Link to auction, I'm way too lazy to go and put that item number in and search it.
  24. IMO, if you're doing the build for "fun" so to speak, then the amount of money you put into it doesn't really matter. But.....If you are building this watch with the intention of re-selling it then NO it's not a wise build. The amount you'll spend will be almost ridiculous, but if it's for you personally then I say go ahead. It would be a one of kind special build that you can wear with pride. Just don't expect to get more than half of the money back if you decide to sell it! I'm doing the same thing, sort of. I'm a Sea Dweller FREAK and I've already spend close to $2k getting complete watches, parts watches, and gen parts. I'm not even close to being finished and I'm already into it that much. I started out keeping track of each watch or part I bought and how much I spent for each one. I quickly tore that list up and now I DO NOT keep track of my expenditures for these builds because I know it would drive me crazy to see how much money I've blown....
