OK got it. I guess he and people like him are the reasons why we must be so vigilant these days buying and selling..

Hello M8rk76 Can I know your budget and style preference? It would be a lot more helpful this way. Narrows down the search area more meaningfully.

Guys you gotta stop bumping this outdated wristies thread its getting hilarious. :D OK wait I just bumped it again didn't I?

The screws on an ROO caseback are not aligned in any way. Its only the bezel screws that should be aligned. Anyway, this is a 100% rep. Avoid.
-
Boys No need to suspect, this is 100% a rep. The hands pinion, rep deployant clasp, and date window position gave it away.

Except its already 22nd April here .

Hello Zack and welcome to RWG and to my favorite section of the forum (besides the buy and sell section of course ) ROOs are beautiful watches and the reps are also very lovely if you learn to appreciate them at face (ok wrist) value. Like my friend panerai153 said, they can look 95% accurate for some models, but the weakness is the modified movement. To make things easier for yourself, buy a modded one from m2m sales if and when available. You got to move fast usually because they go faster than free blowjobs at the back alley :D Most importantly, enjoy your learning curve and your stay here. You shall be enriched and enlightened!

What's the DEAL on Reporting Reps on eBay?
Legend replied to superlative's topic in General Discussion
Call it Thieves' Honor. Yes you are correct. The replica industry is built on stealing the designs and ideas of big brand watches and selling them at a very attractive fraction of the price the genuine watches command. I cannot, nor would I dispute this fact. I would like to believe, however, that people like us purchase the watches knowing that they are rep, for our own enjoyment. The vast majority of us do not attempt to pass them off as genuine watches, to profiteer off them, or to scam the naive or oblivious. Succintly put, we buy reps because we enjoy them personally, not to cheat anyone else with them. Our passion and love for reps should not mean that we should abet the wrongdoing of someone trying to sell a replica as an authentic brand watch. We should instead use our knowledge and expertise to prevent others from being victimized, whether out of ignorance, naivete or even foolishness. I sincerely feel that the motivation for reporting these replica watch listings to eBay has nothing to do with guilt, redemption or nobility, but simple goodwill. We may enjoy our rep watches, but we should not hide in the closet and snicker each time we see a replica watch being sold at a horrendously staggering price which it should not command. We should use our resources and what we know, to help make the world a slightly better place, because of our knowledge, intentions, and actions. I am sure you know of top notch hackers being employed as system testers by the authorities, and the best counterfeiters being consulted by the government concerning their bailiwick. Who better to call out a replica watch than the serious rep hobbyist? To me, having good knowledge about reps and being able to share and use that knowledge is a good thing. I humbly end my rambling with this: We may wear replica watches at times, but our fellowship, knowledge, skills and heart are all as genuine as could be. Let us put them to good use instead of tucking them away. Let us be proud of what we can do as a community, and let us never stop doing them. -
Agree mate! You don't need the Hublots of course.. I can help you thin your collection down. :D

can someone advise what the problem is please? Thank you!

To be honest, not totally.. but with the A7750 movement, my expectation is realistic so far. I do not them to last forever without any mods/parts replacement/servicing. If it breaks down again, I would send it to a more skilled watchsmith. -

Thank you very kindly. The dial seems to be fine but I'm no expert. Do I need to get this watch fixed please? Or can I leave it like this? Sent from Mars using tapatalk -
OK I have a panerai with A7750 sec@9. It is fairly new and working well all this while. I took it off this afternoon and put it on my desk, and thats when it suddenly stopped (The second hand just stopped moving). It is supposed to be fully wound, been wearing it all day. I picked it up and tried to revive it by shaking it, and winding it, but no joy, the second hand remained stuck. After a particularly vigorous shake, the second hand suddenly came to life again, oh joy! But I noticed that the hack mechanism now would not work, when I tried to set the time. The second hand would continue moving even when crown is pulled to the "time set" position. Can someone advise if this is an easy fix, and whether I should fix it please? Would there be problems "linked" to the hack mechanism failure? Thank you very sincerely and humbly for any advice.

So you know where to get the good sushi "wraps" too? Lol Sent from Mars using tapatalk

yes, I do know of a place where they replicated the sushi very well. 1:1 to the ones you showed in the pic.

oh, relax mate, the cycle looks familiar. Unless the parcel tracking status says seized or something, treat it as the usual delay due to postal inefficiency.
-
Mid March? That would be around 3 weeks? I think its still within the delivery schedule, maybe the UK guys here could chime in.
-
Seeing that this is your first post, and your first order, I think its apt to tell you that you need to be patient when waiting for orders to arrive. Do not track it everyday and expect real-time changes, I have had parcels arrive and the tracking never updated accordingly to reflect the "delivered" status. How long is it since the parcel was shipped anyway? Our UK friends would be able to advise you better, but in summary, relax and don't get your knickers in a bunch, your watch will turn up in good time.

Same watch we have on today mate, and I noticed the black bezel markers on your watch has been polished off.. hardcore lovely. I learnt from you that patina can be polished off and the bronze left looking like new.. thanks for sharing the process!
