  1. Please pardon me then, its my limited knowledge that led me to think that BK does Rolex and not a lot more. You can try http://www.p-cls.com/aroxia-bang-evolution-best-editions-c-317_481.html
  2. Hello. The Hublot Big Bangs V6 are the closest you can get to gen (>95% accuracy on wrist in my humble opinion). You can get them off most dealers here, but not BK the rolex modder. Why would you contact BK for an Hublot?
  3. start your own thread on this Mike. As stated this is a thread for the XS strap wearers.
  4. Congrats, and I am waiting for mine to arrive! How does the cannon pinion look to you? Is it flattened and polished?
  5. Actually, being a collector of both gen and rep APs, I do not see why you singled out the black themes, rubber clad and panda out of the ROO range as being better than the rest. They all have the same flaws and tells as most of the 42mm ROOs, and yes, they have the same A7750 sec@12 modified movement too. Also, the "out of the box" acceptability varies from wearer to wearer. There is no pre-existing set of standards that qualifies one rep as superb and another as not good. To me, the rep black themes and the rest you mentioned all require some form of cosmetic mods but its just my personal opinion. Others would find them superb and perfectly wearable out of the box. It all depends on how comfortable you are with any given rep. It is true that due to different dial layouts and other features, some ROO reps appear to me to be more accurate than the others. The 15400s and 44mm ROO reps are better than the 42mm ROO reps in my opinion but the see through casebacks negate some of the improvements. I agree that the diver is a very good AP rep, but even that is not perfect. I have my own list of "accurate" ROO reps but that is a list that is formed out of my research and personal opinion. Some would disagree with me but as I mentioned, personal opinions matter a lot when it comes to owning and wearing reps. You are the one who is ultimately going to wear them. So choose something that you are comfortable with.
  6. I do not think the CP is flattened "enough".. there is still a visible "ring" between the CP and the hands. You can tell that the CP is raised above the handstack.
  7. Yes, you are a noob, so it would help if you could stop asking questions all over the place, getting replies, and then ignoring them without even a thank you. I have replied you in the other thread you started, in response to your first post on RWG. Stop asking questions and expecting replies if you do not even have the fundamental courtesy to respond accordingly. When you bring your enthusiasm to these boards, perhaps it would help if you can bring along some basic manners too instead of yelping like an eager puppy in your quest for "1:1 reps"
  8. Mate, basically its not a special tool, just using a standard screwdriver. Best to choose a set of different sizes and you can experiment accordingly.
  9. do you really believe its 1:1? I can tell you, the RG 44mm ROO is pretty good, but I would rate it at 90% at most on the wrist and the open caseback is a dead giveaway. But having said that, yes its a watch that I would buy myself. Good luck getting one right now though, I understand that they are out of stock.
  10. Hello and welcome! Our co-admin Nanuq is from Alaska too. Its a beautiful state judging from all the pictures he shared with us. Are you really female as per your profile?
  11. Honestly it does look good. The gen is a $25k watch, and the rep looks very close. If buyer expectations are managed well regarding the accuracy of this watch, it is a very good purchase indeed. There is no such thing as a 1:1 rep, and statements like "made with the genuine watch as reference" lends a little credential at most, there will still be differences. I would guess this would be as close as it could get, especially on the wrist. In summary, very beautiful watch, and nobody would call you out when you wear it. One observation though: what is the color of the dial? Is it the correct dark bronzy green?
  12. Thank you very much for the tip. I have always wanted to do a DIY waterproofing on my AP diver and well now I can, with your post as a guide.
  13. First, please please please get the idea of a true "1:1" rep out of your head in this hobby. It will bring your expectations from the clouds down to Earth. There is no true 1:1 rep, not in the years I have spent in the hobby. Second, as others have said, the main differences are in the movements, and maybe subtle differences in the dial and case thicknesses. And lastly, because I cannot reiterate it enough, there are no 1:1 reps. But on the wrists, you will learn that the visual differences between gen and rep can be hard to spot for a lot of models. You will learn and you will be happy with an 85% accurate rep trust me.
  14. Haha you are right of course. I have heard rumors that the diver watch actually does more desk dives than the wearer does ocean dives.
  15. Likewise.. though I highly doubt anyone would wear this as a serious dive watch. Well maybe the Prince of Saudi Arabia
  16. Its not really a rule per se, but introducing yourself would be a nice first post. Asking who has the best sub in the first post is a little like taking a pee out of the window without opening it first. The backsplash is somewhat inevitable. So, "Lead the way" and show 'em how its done?
  17. If you expect a gen/rep identification, the minimum you could do is to provide clearer pictures. Based on the subdial spacings alone, I would say rep. And not a very pretty one at that.
  18. The fact that there is even a credible debate on which is gen shows that the rep is very well-made yes?
  19. Same color theme as the lebron James? Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  20. Mate, I do apologize if you thought I was giving you a hard time. But from the picture OP posted, you would be able to see that it is an AP ROO GP strap even if he did not mention it. Its a rather unique looking strap and yes a very lovely one to match the panda. I guess we all learn something new everyday and I thought that you would spot and identify it immediately, being the AP afficionado you are. So I guess you are going to purchase this one next to go with your panda?
  21. I think SG sells it cheaper here mate.. from S$500 to S$550. I have seen one going for as low as S$450 brand new. Yes I agree. On the forums, we can look at pictures of watches and expertly tell if they are reps or gens. In real life on the wrists, the watch details are often either diminished in clarity and size, or like you mentioned, obscured in motion. In short, the tells are much more apparent in pictures than in real life, unless you're very carefully scrutinizing the watch in question. Its difficult to do that when said watch is on a wrist of a guy who may start to think you are either crazy or extremely rude.
  22. If given a choice, I would prefer to banish the enmity.
