  1. Don't ask "us" what rep you should buy... all of them are imperfect, you should get the one that you like the most and the one that makes you the most happy. Just remember to choose with your heart and pay with your mind.
  2. I know I've been MIA lately (lost my formal job a while ago, working overtime from home and taking on lots of clients) so I haven't been online... especially when I come here and read MORE economic speculation and quasi-intellectual investment BS... but Andy your posts have always been so helpful - congratulations to you my friend and thanks for making this forum such a great place!!
  3. Let's just hope they make an auto non-chrono model. Fingers crossed! If they come out with one... I'm telling Narikaa to rush one over to my place real fast... this is a dream watch!
  4. I don't think this will have any significant impact on our "niche" of the hobby... remember there are millions of reps in China and our high quality models are a very rare and exclusive (and hopefully elusive) breed.
  5. That Breitling tourbillon is one of the few I've ever seen on this board. You should be very proud to have such a unique collection of timepieces!!
  6. Classic luxury from Rolex... franken-datejust with real solid gold pieces and tons of genuine additions.
  7. I love it. Gold gold and more gold! This is a hot collection and I wouldn't mind that full gold Daytona - it's stunning.
  8. Want to be my new best friend?
  9. Patek Philippe is my favorite brand by far. MBK have given us two great reps so far: the Nautilus and the exquisite Aquanaut which is extremely accurate. I will buy a gen some day. Until then I can only hope the rep manufacturers will try and broaden their horizon, perhaps releasing more accurate and more reliable models like the Calatrava, Gondolo, or Ellipse. PS; the watch you showed is of a genuine vintage Patek.
  10. I love my bling version BCE with big extra accurate date font I wear it to many business trips for some reason. Good travel watch! I bought the Breitling on impulse and at first was disappointed with some minor quibbles. I have since come to love the watch because of the compliments it gets me. The diamond bezel, encrusted with 40 simulated stones, gives off a nice and realistic sparkle. I think it really makes the watch. My Chronomat Evolution came with excellent lume. The picture above is digitally enhanced to give you the full Breitling experience. This is a big "new money" watch with powerful in-your-face style. I recommend it for someone who wants to stick out of the crowd and look like a real big city player.
  11. I have been considering buying a gen, and UN is high on my list... but I think it will end up being a Daytona that I have been longing for since joining this forum!
  12. The bezel ring lines up correctly. That is just.. a short in the heart.
  13. If you like replicas that are difficult, buy a Daytona seconds-at-six.
  14. Good stuff vmena... hey guess what I'm wearing... It's been glued to my wrist for weeks.
  15. An annual calendar will make the monthly adjustments as well I believe, but won't adjust for the correct year. A perpetual calendar will adjust for the correct year. A regular watch like we get here in our reps will always max out to 31 and then back to 1, no matter what month it is. It's up to the wearer to catch up the difference.
  16. I have seen only three Blancpain reps ever produced in very limited run. 1. Classic Leman with date. 2. Classic Leman calendar. 3. Leman Retrograde. No blancpain chrono... sorry, I wish there was one though!
  17. Ha! Looks like they have some Christ "hublots" and Christ "Chronoswiss" and even a Christ "Breguet" - it looks like the window of a Guangzhou rep shop, but with homage nomenclature. Oh, Christ.
  18. I think the date setup on his Daytona originally came from a Glashutte!! I really like it though, actually today I asked myself what a Daytona would look like with a date window... surprisingly, not bad - if not a little too busy. The GMT master "III" looks very sharp, though.
  19. What an incredible watch... this is really what it's all about. But how did we go this far without any wrist shots?? Come on!!
  20. The picture is about as useful as the writeup...
  21. The MBK Aquanaut/Nautilus are good reps but they are plain and without the chronograph feature... this will never be replicated correctly.
  22. I know what you mean... these classic watches are really the best you can get. When my franken two-tone arrived, I was stunned at its beauty... I'm looking at it now and I can genuinely say I understand why you have three...
  23. Ouch, zero feedback on the seller... I don't know about this one..
  24. It's nice that Narikaa carries these items for us, I believe he is the only dealer who sells cufflinks.
