  1. Agree, it seems there isnt a market (well according to the rep makers it seems) to rep high quality or accurate vintage Rolex compared to some other modern models or brands.
  2. Don't think Vietnam is that advance. My dad knows both MQ and Phong's workshop.
  3. Looks great! But are gens have AR like the rep? It seems quite distorted
  4. Nice work Bart! Thanks for sharing. Do you do the lume by hand? Or you mask it first and then apply?
  5. Yes gen is on the left. Sorry I never measured my gen. Maybe you can Google or search the forum for the thickness. In saying that, I'm not sure for gen is the thickness the same for 16520 and 116520. As the 116520 uses Rolex in house movement versus the Zenith for the 16520. Since you are buying a rep of 116520, it might be better for someone here who has a gen to chime in. I will see if i can compare it to my friends one one day as I know 3 gen owners.
  6. Well my rep 116506 (I think is BP) next to my gen 16520
  7. First of all, case is much thicker than the gen due to the A7750 movement. It is much chunkier and I personally think is heavier than my gen 16520
  8. Gen, the date wheel is a tell. The existing rep doesn't have the cut out stenciled numbers as it uses date wheels. Also the font of existing reps are wrong.
  9. Bart u should be a trusted modder here!
  10. Wow let me know if the two 6238 will be in sale one day. Lots of sibling waiting to meet them.
  11. I will personally put more effort into getting the correct/good condition bracelet first so you know it mounts to the case with no issue. Since you said everything is gen i assume it will take the thick Rolex spring bars. Maybe talk to Rolex and say you got inherited a watch and see if they will sell you some.
  12. Just out of curiosity is there a link for Tonny's website?
  13. If you look at gen PN. I think the DW subdials are too far off from the edge, ie too much white spacing compared to gen. In saying that the dial on the right, marker at 12 looks a bit wonky. It will also be great to see some macro shots of the subdials on the right to establish the quality of the print on top of the centric circles.
  14. No good reps of the Monaco except a quartz - which is not very accurate.
  15. Great work Bart, which sticker manufacturer did you use?
  16. I think DJ in general doesn't seem that highly demanded compared to an Explorer or Milgauss honeycomb. Nice watch indead, but I personally think is a bit niche.
  17. For a start, doesn't a 1016 need a 19mm bracelet?
  18. Is it me or the lume looks too raised?
  19. I'm very interested guys. I gonna email him and let you guys know
  20. Very nice, but what happened to your hands nest the pinion? It looks scratched..
