  1. Great work so far, I think you just need to shape the bezel and case more defined and you are in on the money.
  2. More feasible to get an ok looking RM than this. Unless someone managed to copy their process and do it in China as I think their first version is a modified ETA
  3. Dumb question, but does the stem fits to the movment when is not in the case?
  4. Very nice build The lug holes looks a little too big it seems... Maybe is the angle
  5. The Cali dial shown has lume on it, so u can stain it. The daytona dial is polished steel so I'm not sure how you can stain steel with coffee.
  6. Coffee, they are polished metal. The only trick I know people use coffee or tea for is to add patina on lumes.
  7. Thanks for sharing, I would expect Phong's one to be the most accurate. It looks pretty off compared with Gen, the spacing between the logo at the bottom edge is quite significant. That's before we even look at the coronet.
  8. This a classy combo mate, I need to add to this black sigma to my collection one day! Well done in purchasing this.
  9. Here's something my dad had done, vintage everything except the case is 16520
  10. To my knowledge there's is no such good reps out there. If you go franken, the dial + movement probably set you back around 1500 to 2k already and we haven't discussed what case to use yet.
  11. Agree, unless u enjoy the building process I would rather spend a little more money buying a gen, atleast you can sell it much easier and pretty much get most of your money back. Unless is a vintage build which commands more I personally don't see the hassle.
  12. I believe what you said are correct, they were cheaper a decade ago from what I've been told but I guess donor watches are becoming more scarse.
  13. Nice mate, I personally would put a bakelite black bezel on, but nice work and thanks for sharing.
  14. Interesting, so the cartel case fits a V72 with no mods needed?
  15. I'm sorry to say that dial is definitely not real. For a start the sub dial numbers should cross the sub circles not on it entirely. Also the cartel will not work with a gen dial due to the sub dial hand at 6 not being on the right position. I think the best bang for your buck would be to buy a DW where the dial is wrong but the chrono works and it won't break the bank.
  16. Let me take some photos for u. I have gen as well and also the R"C"LEX ones, this is the worst in terms of quality, is cheap enough tho
  17. I bought from this seller. The quality is the poorest I have seen, good value for money tho. The underside is not even polished and the coronet is a bit wonky.
  18. Just wondering, i didn't know the V72 fit a DW dial where it takes a a7750? As the sub dials at 6 sits lower than a V72.
  19. Can someone pls educate me, the OP said the dial for the 6263 is a gen, I thought the sunburst on the sub dials goes partially over the numbers? Or are there references which is not the case? Like the one we have here..?
  20. The guys had re done all the parts at their supposed colour. Theres thread on RG under vintage Rolex . Pls take a look
  21. Is not.. All engraved by my dad's workers [emoji4]
  22. I bought 3 from this seller, he's actually based in Hong Kong. The buckle i would say is the cheapest quality I have seen the Coronet is a bit wonky, the under side is not even polished. I own other RCLEX buckle as well but they are slightly better finish, slightly closer to the gen (which I also own), but they are like 40 ish dollars for a piece I think...
  23. Nice collection, mine says hi..
