"The USA proof"? , If you are trying to turn this into a conspiracy of thoughts that is just utterly disgusting. 18 people from my state alone, many from my city, some even from my own university. The rest of the world is trying to get into the site to get the bodies out of there. Russia should be nowhere near the site as it is suspected to be involved in the tragedy. You would hardly let a crime seen be blocked off by a suspect would you, free to contort the evidence.

I read around the forum that there was a problem with some watches from the Z-factory having inferior movements not as advertised so thought after I got the caseback off and the camera out I would check in with the people here far more knowledgable than me as to whether or not this is a "real" ETA clone.

Thanks. I think when I got the watch the minute hand was not sitting correctly so I took all the hands off and then repositioned them and for the moment it seems to be working properly.

Hi all,

Not rep related but I have a friend who often wears a crappy quartz pocket watch and his birthday is coming up so I thought if he's going to wear a pocket watch he might as well wear an old mechanical one.

So today the pocket watch arrived but as soon as I would it and set the time the minute hand dislodged. Upon inspection the minute and hour hands are somewhat warped and I believe this cause the hour hand to pop the minute hand off of the canon pinion when it crossed over it. Is there any way to reseat the minute hand? if so how would I do this?

I've seen this on a bunch of threads, either comments being invisible or the entire thread. It's weird.

Thoughts are with the loved ones of the victims of this vile act of senseless violence. 

Just a note on the forum, some of the replies on here have been very helpful by trying to overlook some errors on a genuine "out of the loop" guy. But some of the other responses have definitely not made me want to become in the loop more. Shame really, Im very active on other forums with varied subject matters. Maybe ill go to back to being more of an irregular lurker. 

My apologies if I came off a bit strong earlier in this thread. There have been times when people new to the forum have jeopardised this game for the lot of us and it can be rather frustrating to be honest. But I have the utmost respect for how you've dealt with the problems that you faced from the dealer. Hope to see you around the forum

I've tried the whiskey stones but I could never really get my drink that cool when using them. I found it easier if I wanted to chill the whiskey (in my case bourbon) to just chill the glass.

I fully agree, I just wish I knew the gravity of opening the case. I honestly wouldnt have done so knowing what i know now. I stupidly thought it would be easier for the seller to refund me if I opened the case. As if it was the correct and proper procedure for receiving a refund on paypal. Whoops.. that was a mistake!

No hard feelings at all mate. It's just rather annoying reading recently a few posts where people are flippantly putting in disputes. But we live and we learn and life goes on.

To the OP, it's a replica watch, a FAKE. We're dealing with people who do not speak English as a first language, who are in another country & time zone, dealing with counterfeit and illegal goods. If you have to wait a bit longer and struggle through a few misfortunes to get the watch then it's all a part of the game.

 

I believe on RWI, if you go through the PP dispute route before exhausting all avenues with the mods, you are banned.  

That doesn't sound bad at all. If somebody wants to reap the rewards of a community they can't be going all Rambo and jeopardising an easy payment method for the wider community. 

I must be very ignorant to why filing a complaint affects us all. Im all ears, seriously, fill me in on how it such a dreadful thing to happen? Ive not mentioned anything about watches on the dispute. just trying to get the seller into action to refund me. 

Because paypal is the easiest way for us to all pay, and when people such as yourself file paypal disputes flippantly it means that it is not in the best interest for the dealers to supply paypal as an option anymore, so they stop it. 

Ergo, because of people like you, we all get paypal not offered as an option.

How can a second time buyer whose account has been open for close to seven years jump to filing a PP dispute so flippantly?
