I've got the Aquaracer 500M Non-Chrono, and I couldn't be happier. I almost bought the gen, but this rep is so good, I couldn't justify it. I highly recommend it.

Here's a quick question for those of you who own one of these, why does the background around the seamonster on the case back look like grey paint? Is that the texture of the metal, or is there something over it?

Is your replacement from Angus the 45mm in orange? He told me he was out of stock. Watch Intl was the only dealer I could find who had one, and at first he said he was out.

Received QC pics last night, but since this is the only DT I could find that actually had one of these, and this is his very last one, it's no longer a matter of picking one I like. I either want it or I don't. I'm not thrilled with the pearl placement, or the way the background looks around the seamonster on the back, but aside from that it looks decent to me. I may try a bezel insert replacement but I'll have to see what I think of it on my wrist. Anyway, here are two of the pics...

Just sent payment to Rochest at Watch International for what seems like the very last 45mm UPO in Orange. Makes me a little nervous dealing with a new dealer, but they have good reviews here on the forum so what the hell. Not like I had a lot of options. Still waiting on QC pics, so we'll see. Fingers crossed.

Superglue won't do the trick, but epoxy (like ryaku recommended) will work. You can get epoxy almost anywhere.

Thanks Ry, I'm just about to commit to the chrono. I was waiting to hear if I can pick up an Orange UPO from one of the DT's. They're telling me they've got one. If so, I've got to pick that up and put the SMP on the back burner for a few months. I have been wanting an SMP for years so I know it's next after the UPO. Thanks for the input!

This is a common problem with this rep. Rymeister wrote up a really nice tutorial on replacing the crown and tube with gen parts here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/142430-my-planet-ocean-45mm-damaged-to-franken-the-story-so-far/ I've never done it, but it seems easy and relatively cheap... Good luck.

I almost bought a sandblasted Seiko Orange Monster from him a few months ago. Someone snagged it before I could get my stuff together. I regret it because it was such a nice looking watch. He does great work.
