  1. Thx guys. There is still a visible hole in the cannon pinion and I received this already a few moth ago that is why I was unsure. I knew about the new bezel assembly.
  2. Is this the V7 "capped" cannon pinion or the V6 one. I am looking at it but cannot make out the difference.
  3. Crown guards are wrong, satin finish is very coarse but I built a watch with it and I am quite satisfied the way it came out:
  4. What a fantastic elaborate. Why I read this now after being member of this forum for 4 years escapes me. Would have spared me a lot of guess work. :-)
  5. Thx guys. The height difference kills it I guess.
  6. Would be great to have exact dimensions, but did not find anything on the net yet.
  7. Too bad. Guess the answer is here: http://watchguy.co.uk/service-poljot-chronograph-calibre-p3133/ Quote: "While quite similar, the Poljot 3133 cannot be substituted for the Valjoux 7734. The Poljot is considerably thicker and dial feet are in a different location."
  8. Here is an another interesting comparison. A poster answering in the thread claims that a 7734 dial won't fit the 3310 but does not elaborate as to why. Maybe it is just the dial feet position. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f54/poljot-3133-vs-valjoux-7734-lysanderxii-224306.html
  9. Thinking about building a Tudor. 7032. Problem is these 7734 movements are becoming rare and more expensive. So I thought about buying a watch with a Poljot 3133 movement that should be almost identical given the fact that the Russians bought all the machinery and tools from Switzerland. Any ideas? You think it is worth a try? Poljot watches with these movements are out there in abundance and can be had between 80 and 200 € in almost new condition.
  10. All these watches are ready for primetime. Can't close my mouth....
  11. Will post pics after I have received the Oyster bracelet. You need special endlinks as the so called "Big-Block" is more fat then a regular Daytona. Also I bought a Tudor clasp for the bracelet.
  12. Chamfers and lug holes are quite nice.
  13. Case is from eBay. It is a sterile case without markings between the lugs, and with a wrong case back. The satin finish is pretty bad but I meanwhile touched it up and it looks a lot better now. The crown guards are supposed to be the square variety. They are wrong but in fact the square crown guard version of that watch is so rare that you can hardly find pictures in the internet so I don't really care. The good thing is the case takes a gen rolex crown without changing the tube. Will see about other gen parts. I had a TC crown left so I used this one. Movement is Swiss ETA 7750. Hands and dial are Yuki. Now I am desperately looking for an engraved Tudor case back as the Yuki one is no longer available. There are many flaws with the watch but overall I think it is still credible at arms length. Photo with touched up satin finish.
  14. I also have entirely stopped buying m2m other then parts. Most of the watches I bought m2m were a mechanical nightmare. They looked well on the outside but were practically not maintainable (I am talking glue, stripped threads...etc.). I guess there are some guys out there with true watchmaking skills but many (myself included) just suck on building watches. I never made a big fuzz about it and then again it was never to an extent that I felt scammed or something. But I have drawn my consequences.
  15. First build. Not quite finished yet.
  16. Quite satisfied with my first build. Case needs some work and I am waiting for the bracelet but I like where this is going.
  17. You want chamfers? Here are chamfers. :-)
