Aside from the hands (which are probably correct) the only thing that I can see is the tick marks on the insert should go all the way to the top of the insert. On the rep they end just before the top of the insert. Thats a common issue on Breitling inserts but is more noticeable when the should run right to the bottom edge of the insert and touch the markings on the dial.
Yeah but thats a doctored "Porsche promo shot"
This one seems to have the same hands as the rep. Went to the AD and saw the PVD version (not as nice) and didn't think to check the hands.
Got ya, thats not a Tech Seal though, it's the regular Diver model. As far as I can see the only tell on the Tech Seal is the springbars, and thats pretty damned good! I don't think there are many reps out there that are don't have at least one obvious tell. If I were in the market for a gen I'd be awful scared to buy one from anywhere but an AD. Even then
The only tell that I have been able to come up with so far can be seen in this picture...
Notice that you can see the end of a springbar in the outer lug hole. The rep uses conventional springbars, and as the lug is so thick, you cant see anything from the outer hole.
These things definitely are going to draw attention, something a lot of guys don't really want. Since the new year I've been on a health kick and have lost 40lbs. Now that I've got a skinny, athletic physique, I don't really mind having people look at me. Make no mistake, that new found confidence had a lot to do with my decision to finally pull the trigger on this one.
