  1. If you bought a PO it has a screw down crown, unscrew it anti clockwise and then gently pull it out to the time setting position.
  2. Not a definite answer and this may even muddy the waters a little more. I recently received a Carrera from Precious Time with the 28800bph movement with the updated rotor bearing but it did not have the balance regulator as seen on some recent movements, I posted about it HERE. Seems there are a few versions of the movement around at the moment and will probably be a bit of a lottery as to which one you'll get.
  3. My son saw one while in Florence last month, I'll see if I can dig the photo's up of it.
  4. Just push it gently with a screwdriver, once it clicks into place it'll stay put.
  5. Make sure the spring on the keyless cover is properly engaged against the yoke, see this pic borrowed from Bazz's keyless works tutorial Its easily overlooked but non the less vital that its in place.
  6. Just got this Tag Carrera (A7750 28800) from PT this morning, did the usual visual checks to make sure everything was OK and when checking the back of the watch I saw this compare it to the real Swiss in my Hamilton Looks pretty good to me. Sorry for the thumbnails, I couldn't log into my photobucket account to upload this morning.
  7. This today and probably the rest of the week!
  8. Given that the stem pulls out of the movement I think you can be fairly certain that the keyless works has been pushed out of whack and for that there is only one fix. The movement will have to come out of the case, the hands and dial removed and the keyless works re-set. Whether this will fix the other issue you describe is debatable and unless you have tackled this before it probably isn't a DIY proposition. A full service of the movement sounds like your best bet, assuming you have access to a watchmaker who is willing to work on reps and sorry to say it but your estimate of $50 for a service sounds a touch optimistic to me. Good luck.
  9. Looks OK to me too, but I think the minute register moving on 3 seconds before the chrono hand reaches 12 would bug me more. See Francisco's excellent tutorial on how to fix this HERE
  10. The netbook you have suggested looks as good as anything else but it might be an idea to check out Staples www.staples.co.uk and Comet www.comet.co.uk as they both have a reasonable selection off the shelf. As far as web access is concerned all the major mobile providers offer pay as you go, you have to buy a dongle and then however much data you would need to cover your stay but I guess you could sell that on when you're done.
  11. Sadly you can only buy the genuine bezel insert complete with the bezel However in answer to your question, I believe The Zigmeister has been able to fit the insert into the rep bezel, but I'm not sure if it required modding or if it simply dropped in?
  12. Looking good BT, great picture...Enjoy
  13. Well that's the size I have in mine, a nice tight fit.
  14. Pretty good comparison between ETA and a couple of Chinese clones HERE Should answer your questions.
  15. Sorry that's not a Sellita, it clearly has an ETA stamp and Sellita don't put that on their movements. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean it it's an ETA, could just as easily be a clone. One of the easiest tells is the shock mount on top of the balance, if it has a single cut out its a clone but if it has three then its Swiss, cant really tell from the pics.
  16. TTK used to be a dealer on this forum, but no longer. He now only trades on Repgeek and you will find details there on how to contact him. I've never ordered from him personally and have no recommendations to make one way or the other but I would caution you to read as many dealer reviews as you can find before committing to purchase. Good luck on your quest. www.repgeek.com
  17. Can't give you an exact model number but its a Chinese movement, there are several similar to this on Cousins website. Hope you didn't buy Swiss and got this instead. http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/40/1921.aspx
  18. Send him an email via the "contact" link on his website, just tell him what you want and he'll get back to you with a price and delivery info.
  19. Well the rotor certainly shouldn't tilt!! Check that the screw in the centre of the rotor is properly tightened, if its a bit loose it could cause the tilt you mention which might allow the rotor to come into contact with something it shouldn't.
  20. Just a label that was given to the then new 45mm Planet Ocean when it was released, it means "Ultimate Planet Ocean" and is intended to indicate its status as the best "out of the box" version of that watch, not perfect but close enough for most of us.
